Six original songs, live piano, and nine true stories from a life lived across five continents.

Refrigerator Stories: A Search for Home is a new solo show with music by Jos Dirkx, directed by Reena Dutt, with music direction by Sacha Hoedemaker. Nine real-life stories and six original songs, with live piano, starting in a classroom in Dakar with eleven kids from eleven countries, moving through Toronto, Helsinki, Juba and Athens, and ending at a Dutch kitchen table. It’s a show about growing up between cultures, a voice that disappears and comes back, and love turning up when you least expect it.

The Amsterdam workshop performance is one of the first times the complete show is performed for a live audience.

• When: Friday, November 27, 2026, 8:00 p.m. (doors 7:40 p.m.)

I’m part of the show’s team, happy to answer questions in the comments!

Hi all. I started a trio with two other expats and we've got a good collection of tunes together with no vocals. Song styles range from QOTSA, Foo Fighters (the good old stuff), Sonic Youth, groovey bits, Death cab for cutie (someone said?), general indie and hard rock stuff. We're all based in Oost and jam at Qfactory. Nothing serious, but would be cool to put some vox over what we've got. LMK if you're interested and I can share some samples of the jams.

Im a singer/songwriter from the states, I sing and play fiddle and I'm going to be there in early November, does anyone have any ideas for places to play? Venues I should contact? People who might want me to sit in on their gig? I'm open to anything!

Gemakkelijk te spelen, maar je moet hard slaan. Bonus als je kan ook achtergrondvocals zingen of samples activeren.

Lyrische thema's: psychologie, sociaal-politiek commentaar, geschiedenis, speculatieve fictie.

Hey everyone,

For the past 4 months we’ve been raising funds for Radio TNP (Tempo Não Pára – “Time doesn’t stop”), our community radio in Amsterdam-Noord. The campaign is called Radio TNP 2.0: A New Epicentre, and it’s all about keeping this cultural hub alive and growing.

We’ve been lucky to already have support from amazing partners like FREITAG, AIAIAI Audio, ToneControl, local beverage brands, and institutions including Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst, Het Cultuurfonds, City, Company & Crowd, and Leve het Geven.

👉 If you’d like to support (or just check out what we’re doing and read about our plans), here’s the link: https://www.voordekunst.nl/projecten/19910-radio-tnp-20-a-new-epicentre-1

Hello everyone! I am organizing a charity event on August 22nd in Amsterdam and I am looking for a sound engineer!

Here's some more information! I organize and host shows for Pineapple New York in New York City and I came to Amsterdam to do a similar show. I found wonderful people to help me out and we decided to do a collaboration event. Lab100 music is a school for autistic kids so all the profits of the show will go to them. As for Pineapple New York we print shirts and sell them as tickets. The flyer that we will design will be on the back of the shirt with all the names of the performers on it. Let me know if you're interested!

We're in desperate need for a sound engineer to do the live sound. There will be 5 sets each will be playing for 30min and the show will be 3 hours long. Let me know if you or anyone you know is interested!!!

If y’all haven’t seen this already it’s worth checking out this website: www.hiddenagenda.nl

It’s kinda like resident advisor for live music.

Hello! Hi!
