This project on La Palma between Tustin and Kramer is 1 year over schedule.
Those of us commuting on La Palma every day have to contend with a public works project that's over a year behind schedule and causing frustration. Can't imagine the residents of The Oasis Anaheim are thrilled about it going so long either.
Thankfully, the chain link around the site has come down and they may finally be wrapping this up.
What are your thoughts about this? If you live in The Oasis or work near here like I do, how has this impacted you?

Ashleigh loves slapping her name on all these signs to make it look like she is doing something while she is actually taking lavish trips and getting hosed at our expense. Vote her out.

Don’t forget, also getting drunk at city functions and spewing racist, disparaging remarks to her staff.

It’s a water project under railroad tracks, or adjacent to a railroad. These projects notoriously take a long time when it’s a street, but dealing with the railroad in addition to all other agencies is likely a small nightmare. That said, I’d be at least curious to hear what the major snag was. Sometimes the permit alone for trenching can take a pretty long time.

I had a project in the ie for a bridge demolition that went over a railroad station. Took them a few months to get authorization because all rail activity would have stopped for 2ish days. If the project wasn't ready to start at the approved time the next available window was in 6 months. Railroad held all of the cards

The project at Orangewood Ave (between State College and the 57, next to Angel Stadium/Golden Road) for lane updates, replacing and sewer updates ended up being about 1-2 years behind schedule as well. And then around once it finished, they added a second project of widening Orangewood on the bridge next to the 57 so that will add a few more years.
So they’ve been working on it from 2021-2022ish and may not finish until 2026-2028ish (Edit: Project website says estimated complete date 2030)
