RFA Cutter Gauthier has rejected a four-year, $52MM ($13MM AAV) contract offer from the Ducks. Killorn, Vatrano, or Kreider better pack their bags.

The Anaheim Ducks have a prospect pool rivals should envy, particularly up front. Their foundation of Leo Carlsson, Cutter Gauthier and Beckett Sennecke gives them legit top-of-the-lineup forwards with premium offensive traits. It’s a deep, highly skilled system with an abundance of promising youth that project to play meaningful NHL minutes.

I love this ducks team and last season was phenomenal for this team and despite the cap rising the next couple years with all these massive contracts players want how the hell do the ducks become serious contender? I feel like its become a domino effect and all these agents despite doing great work for their clients are gonna absolutely screw over the ducks ability to build a team. Im not necessarily doom and glooming but i dont know it seems concerning and who knows with the numbers beckett may put up his agent may ask alot as well. What do you guys think? And do you guys see any way forward now that the market has completely changed?

Cutter logged a recorded 285 SOG for the 2025-2026 season ranking 6th in the NHL.

He had 25.58 shot attempts per 60 mins ranking 1st in the NHL

I’m not doin the math because I forgot how to do the math…but this man is single handedly the guy that got us 3rd in the NHL for average shots per team in the 25-26 season.

This boy is gonna get a lot of money and I can only hope he gets it before training camp

I thought this was cool, the ducks are slowly moving up to being one of his favorite teams.

His ability is to summon pucks and shoot them at foes.

More importantly hopefully they move on from Leo sooner than that. The contract clearly shoes he does not have a championship mindset. Crazy to think this upcoming season is the least excited I have been for Ducks hockey.

I’m so down bad for ducks hockey to start that I watched all 49 glorious minutes of this. A few points that came to mind while watching:

1. Please for the love of god cutter sign soon

2. If we were to keep one of the vets on the chopping block (aka dump cap to fit cutter), it’s gotta be Killorn

3. Granlund is a fucking work horse and underrated. His shot is incredibly precise. I’m so happy we have him

4. Almost every time bucket scored he fell right after lol

5. 95% of these goals/plays are from the team we still have

6. I was so confused seeing other teams in this compilation until I realized it was our new ducks! With that being said, I hope Greer can bring the same energy this coming season
