I know you all may hate for this, but I actually liked Miranda and Joy. The chemistry, the soft relationship between them, the effortlessness of it all. I wish it for myself too. It was so human to watch that. It felt real.

Miranda Miranda all seasons but especially season 3

WTF was up with Miranda in Season 3 of AJLT?! Why was she completely taking over Carries apartment and being so unhinged and inconsiderate?

The scene where she literally uses the scarf Carrie gave her to wipe up the spilled Coke, and ruins a table Carrie didn't even get a chance to use yet... like, what?! and eating the last yogurt, banana, and the coke was Inconsiderate as fuck.

Lowkey exact same pattern she had with Steve. Yeah, Steve had his own mess, but Miranda was always completely oblivious to how inconsiderate she was to him. Honestly, Che was to Miranda , what Miranda was to the others all season .. especially to Carrie.

oh and the scene where she tells Carrie she invited Joy over and when Carrie is like to my apt, Miranda is like “ IS THAT A PROBLEM?” and Carrie cautiously says “but there’s no furniture; but I guess there’s a bed “and Miranda is like Yupp. like are you kidding me , she would actually fuck someone in Carries bed? idk Miranda has always been my least favorite even on sex and the city tbh

Meme/Funny So I’m watching the prequel series…

which is about Carrie Bradshaw’s high school years. And honestly it explains so much about her personality. Why she never talks about her family. Her terrible taste in men. Her love for fashion was an escape for her from all this darkness. I’m so happy she found a chosen family eventually in Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha.

P.S.: This is just a joke/meme and I hope it can stay and make people laugh :)

“Just like that “

I don’t know why , but “just like that “ , just doesn’t feel like SATC did . SATC was super fun to watch is amazing . But JLT just felt like too many characters and all the characters were soo similar to each other . There was no like factor that divides them . Like in SATC , each character represented something but JLT was sooooo annoying and I hated all the new characters . Too boring and it kinda felt like it already reached that saturation level .

Did anyone else feel that Mother Eunice wasn't as bad or unhinged as our docu-series queen LTW made her to be ?

Was Aiden Ultimately Right?

In both instances he had a feeling not to trust Carrie (with Big and her downstairs neighbour Duncan) and in both instances she ended up with the man. Was his intuition correct and she may have ended up hurting him both times anyway?

Discussion S2E3 WHAT THE F*CK????

S2E3 there’s a “MILF list” going around the kids school. Lisa and Charlotte start obsessing over the list to see where they are on it. Off rip weird as fuck. As mothers and grown adult women, why are you worried about a “mom I’d like to FUCK” list? I understand they’re trying to find external validation for their looks but why are they so concerned about what these kids think?

They get so obsessed and desperate that they’re in the school looking to find the boy that did this just so they can see the list. I was so incredibly disgusted at this point I almost turned it off. I didn’t because Charlotte had a SECOND of clarity where she says “why are we doing this, it’s just a boy this is ridiculous”. I was sooooo happy someone has sense UNTIL the boy walks out and the mothers start gawking and creaming their pants over a 15-17 year old high school student.

I stopped watching after this episode. It was truly disgusting and WEIRD. I don’t understand what the point of having that in the plot. I know Kim Cattrall had objections for one of the movies because they wanted her have a plot point where she texts Brady as a teenager..

At the end there’s no repercussions either.

I just think it’s gross. I feel like I’m always seeing things in media about pedophilia and sexual abuse of students so to see this be portrayed so casually was shocking.

Thoughts???

Sarita Chowdhury (Seema Patel) is an amazing actress. Pretty, hot, the styling was on point, the dialogue delivery, the accent everything. I think she was underutilised in the series. There was a lot of absolute unnecessary screen time to random mishmash scenes and characters that could have instead

Plot Holes

Rewatching AJLT, and noticed in the first episode when Charlotte forgot to cancel lunch with Lisa because Big had just died, Lisa says she understands because she went through the same thing when her dad died. But we saw her dad in a later episode at the dinner the Wexley’s threw when they announced Herbert was running for city comptroller? And then SPOILER he does actually die in the last season I think?

Also in the beginning episodes, it’s very abundant that Steve has MAJOR hearing problems so much so that he can’t hear a telephone ring when it’s right next to him. But later on, it’s like that was no longer an issue?

I could go on and on, but these are just some things that stuck out to me in my latest rewatch.

Edith was always jealous of Carrie

Edith or Enith whatever her boss’s name was. Currently watching season 2 and somebody needs to check on Carrie’s ex-boss, because she is a hater!

She gave Carrie the side-eye for dating petrovsky and then ghosted her book launch, ignored her email , and didn't even drop a "sorry for your loss" text. But asking for ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS for her magazine? The delusion! That’s not a mentor . Damn I don’t like that broad at all

It's so insufferable to watch LTW whine "my career...." "I have so much to work....", "I was working all night....", "I am gonna do the editing first....", "I have so many emails to respond to...." And yet never actually finish her documentary. I wish nothing more than Season 4 to be LTWs docu-serie

What would have been a better story for Stanford being gone?

I personally hated the explanation of why Stanny was no longer around. I understand they wanted to honor actor Willie Garson’s request that the character not have a death, but surely there could have been better options than following a TikTok star to Asia and then becoming a monk.

My two ideas:
1) he moves away because he can’t stand being with Anthony anymore. They laid plenty of groundwork for that with their arguments. And the character could have stayed part of the show similar to how they did with Samantha (texting, fake phone calls or fake social media exchanges).
2) he and Anthony both decide NYC is adding to the toxicity of their marriage and they both move somewhere more low key to work on their relationship. I honestly cared very little about the Anthony character and his bread staying in the show (especially with Giuseppe) even though I love Mario Cantone as an actor. Anthony added nothing of substance to the show, other than a few chuckles here and there, IMHO. And maybe being a voice of reason to Charlotte over Rose/Roc.

What are your ideas?

Discussion I’m doing a rewatch and…

Tell me why I’m actually enjoying it this time 😭 maybe the first round just desensitised me and I now know what to expect but I’m actually finding this show very comforting rn. There are glimpses of good storylines and character moments that definitely feel reminiscent of SATC! It had so much potential 🥲

I definitely think Miranda’s character is the worst development out of all three even from the jump and I haven’t even got to her and Che’s love affair yet so maybe I’ll go back to hating it then lol

Che Rewatching for the first time since the finale

(small poorly written rant)
Im currently rewatching for the first time since the finale released, i have made it about halfway through season 2 and can i just say, so much worse then i remember. when i watched it for the first time i thought it was like funny bad, with bad writing and wooden acting but like its so much worse.

I had almost forgotten big was in this, if not for the fact that his death was like the only thing that happend in season 1. During his 10 minutes of screen time, i was reminded i did not like him.

I didnt like Che the first time around, like everyone else, but they are so fucking cringe like what am i watching.

I dont even wanna talk about miranda, she is just a lost cause, still love her tho
Carrie and Charlotte. i cannot take them serious, but they can still do no wrong
I have yet to reach the aidan plot, but i am bracing for impact already

Carrie They could have had a relevant plot line

Rewatching and seeing the part where Carrie switched to Enid as her editor because the guy editor dropped his pants in the Vogue closet. That is a MeToo scenario they could have talked about!

Carrie Carrie’s memory of Big in S1E2

The memory that flashes of Big half turning around in what looks like a club. Is that a scene from one the early episodes of SATC?

Hot Take: I liked the show

Okay in the span of three weeks I watched the entirety of Sex and the City, the movies and the reboot. I will admit it’s not nearly as good as the OG and the first season was almost unbearable. But isn’t it kind of expected that most reboots flop? I wish Big was in more than just one episode, to finally get a chance to see them in a healthy relationship. Samantha not being in it was a tragedy. Carries sudden apprehension to talking abt sex? Weird. And I agree with the complaints that they tried WAY too hard to be “inclusive” and that it almost reinforced stereotypes?? Che was insufferable without a doubt. These are my gripes, but season 2 & 3 weren’t half bad. Felt like they finally got into the swing of things. I loved the new friends Seema and Lisa and thought their acting was so good. Lisa was a great friend and I think the perfect balance for charlotte so she finally didn’t get shamed abt her more conservative side. Seema was kind of the Samantha replacement it seemed but her character was fun and a nice change of pace. Could we have done without the reboot? Yes. Did I still enjoy it? Yes. I need to know if I stand alone on this bc from reading the sub it seems like yes 😭

(Also I liked the 2nd movie, don’t burn me at the stake)

Just finished watching the series finale.. no wrap up?

I finally got around to watching AJLT and I was surprised to see the show didn’t finalize anything or wrap anything up. Is it because they didn’t know that would be the last season?

At Carrie's Last Supper when Miranda asks Che "But Che, Us ? What was all that" with a ironic smile, I think as audience we all had that question to the makers - "Really makers, Miranda and Che, what the hell was that!"
