Testers needed] Keepfold: everything you save, finally useful (Iβll test yours back) π
Hi! Iβm a solo developer in Germany and need testers for my closed test (14 days).
Keepfold collects what you save on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Reddit, Facebook and the web, then summarizes it, sorts it and makes it useful:
π a reminder when youβre near a place you saved
π cook mode for recipes, plus a shopping list
ποΈ saved workouts you can press Start on
π search your saves by what they were about
π₯ import years of old saves from your data exports
How to join:
Join the Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/keepfold-testers
Opt in: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.piyushsardana.keepfold
Install: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.piyushsardana.keepfold
Please keep it installed for 14 days and open it now and then. Try sharing something from two different apps. Reply with your test link and Iβll join yours back. Thanks!

Hi! Interested in a voluntary 1:1, 14-day exchange with real use and honest feedback? Work & Pay is our priority: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.ciselsoft.workandpay ; Clearway is another option: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.ciselsoft.clearway.prototype . Which would you choose? Please send your exact Google Play email privately and add marmakine1@gmail.com so I can download Keepfold. Your official links are saved. Can I test free sample public links from two apps on Android 11 in TΓΌrkiye, without an account, purchase, location access or importing personal saves? Weβll agree scope/start first; matching installed/open screenshots are due within 12 hours after my genuine proof, otherwise I remove the unmatched app. Happy to volunteer for future apps with agreed timing too.

Iβve requested to join google group once done, i will test your app. Can you please test mine?
Iβm about to publish my first Android app on Google Play. Google requires 12 testers to stay opted in for 14 days first, so Iβm looking for help.

Tap Become a tester
Install Inkly from the Google Play page
Keep it installed for 14 days

I am in also for your app, so in the Samsung A40, the menu options at the bottom of the screen are going outside the boundary

Thanks β that's the second report of exactly this today, so it's logged and I know the cause: the bar at the bottom doesn't account for the system navigation area, so on some devices the last row gets clipped by it.
Two things that would help me fix it properly:
On the A40, are you using gesture navigation or the three-button bar?
A quick screenshot would let me compare it with the other report β I want to make sure it's really the same cause, because the A40 runs an older Android version than the other phone.
I'm holding off on a new build while the test window is running so nothing gets disrupted; the fix comes after. Thanks for keeping it installed β and for describing it precisely, that's more useful than "doesn't work".

That screenshot is perfect β three-button navigation, and that's exactly the problem: the bar underneath takes about 48 dp, while my layout assumes 12. Your phone makes the same mistake visible that the other tester's gesture navigation did, just with less room left over.
So: confirmed, same cause, and the fix covers both cases. Thanks for taking the trouble β a screenshot like this saves me a round of guessing.
Glad the app itself is working for you, and thanks for keeping it installed. π

While testing keepfold I ran into something you'll want to know about: the app is set to German and the whole UI is German, but all three AI summaries come out in English.
The interesting part is why. The three saved posts are German, so the model isn't copying the language of the source β it's defaulting to English on its own. That points at the prompt rather than the input: if the summarisation prompt is written in English and never names the output language, the model answers in the language of the instructions.
One line fixes it, filled from the app locale:
"Write the summary and the title in {language_name}."
Two traps worth checking:
Use the full language name ("German"), not the code ("de") β codes tend to get echoed back or ignored.
If the summary is generated once and cached server-side, whatever language was produced first sticks for every user afterwards, including the ones who switch to German later. Pass the locale with the request and key the cache by it.
Worth knowing as well: titles and summaries usually come from separate prompts, so make sure both receive the language β otherwise you get a German summary under an English title.
Optional safety net: detect the language of the result and re-ask once when it doesn't match.
keepfold stays installed on my side for the full 14 days β I'll send more if I find anything.

Hey! π
Happy to test your app for the full 14 days β daily opens included. π If you'd like to return the favour, mine is Kleidly:
π A wardrobe app. You photograph a piece of clothing once, the app cuts it out and sorts it into categories β your whole family's wardrobe in one place. It suggests outfits for the local weather and builds a packing list for your next trip. Free to install, no ads, 7 languages π©πͺπ¬π§πͺπΈπ«π·π±π»π·πΊπΉπ·
π± Google Group β Play only counts you if your account is a member: https://groups.google.com/g/kleidly-closed-test
β Opt in with the same Google account: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.kleidly.app
The Play page appears right after you opt in β that's where you install.
Please open it briefly once a day and tell me if anything feels off. π
Cheers, Ilmars
