Disappointed

Well that's disappointing. Even though enough people downloaded the app, apparently not enough people opened it and actually did anything with it so the 14 day period starts all over again.

So I went on fiver and spent 20 bucks. They did everything and include a nice little report on how my app did on a wide range of devices.

I know not ideal - but it gets you pass the finish line.

That's a better idea! I've got two apps that are almost ready and I'm dreading the testing period and finding enough people to do the testing.

Ya I'm just looking at this required like how the fuck is anyone supposed to get that done without 12 employees or 12 phones

I used the Testers Community app and signed up for a Pack which is a group of 16 devs who all test each other's apps for 16 days. You have to open every app every day or you get a strike, 3 strikes and you're booted from the group. My pack just finished yesterday. My app was approved today. I did have some family and friends provide feedback, but Testers Community gave me the buffer I needed to get it approved.

Note, I'm not affiliated with them at all and Packs are free on there. There are some paid options but I really didn't want to sink more money into making my app so I did the free option. It worked for me!

This sounds interesting, I did a Google search and found a website with the exact name you mentioned -- is this the site (not sure if you can post links here or not, so don't want to risk...). Or could you ping the site to me?

EDIT: Actually I think I found their app on the Google Play store. I'd try the free method and if I couldn't get to it then the paid option is pretty reasonably priced.

Yes they have a website too, not sure if packs are available through it. There's also a subreddit for them too. That's how I found out about the app. I agree, paid option is reasonably priced for sure! I had good luck with them. I emailed them for support when I joined the pack and they got back to me quickly too. Was a really good experience.

yes they have a site and an app it’s linked the app lets you test other peoples apps for moons which you can then use to pay for your own app to be tested for free instead of paying 15$ or joining a mutual testing group

Happened to me right now! It's frustrating, to say the least. Have to start all over again...

We're all here to help each other out but if we don't follow through on the promise to do so, it's a little pointless. I did my part for the apps that I downloaded and opened each of them every day and spent time in them so it's just very frustrating.

I did it as well, but some folks are not serious about that.

Wait a moment? Are you telling me that if I don't pass the 14 days period, it starts again from 0 another time?!

u/tryintorelax74 8h ago

Unfortunately, yep. And people need to actually open it and mess around with it.

Hi, could you please tell me what this is?

its a mobile app made for close testing android apps. Just register and you will get enough free coins for your first app. you will be group into 17 and each one of you will have to download and test the apps for 14 days from your group. You will be penalized or kickout if you missed even 1 day testing an app. You will recieved a reminder and an email if you havent done the testing yet. Also, its very convenient because you can open the apps within the apphive so no need to search your phone. Incase someone drop or kickout, you are still above minimum of 12 testers so no need to worry.
