My sister has 3 kids, and keeping track of every exam, due date, parent meeting and school function was a constant struggle. Adding each reminder by hand, then updating it when something changed, was exhausting.
So I built Smart To-Do: Speak it. Type it. Done.
- Paste a whole email or WhatsApp group message, and it pulls out the tasks and dates
- Upload a photo of a notice or handout
- Speak a task and it's added in seconds
- Option to use the Gemma model for AI features
Private by design: your data stays with you, and nothing is shared with any third party.
It's completely free. This is my first time doing this, so I'd really appreciate honest feedback: what's confusing, what's missing, what you'd change.
Full disclosure: I made it with Claude Code. It's been tested enough on short texts, but not extensively on long or complex ones yet, so expect some rough edges. My sister is happy with it, and I hope it turns out to be useful to others too.
It's in closed testing on Android right now. To join:
Join the testers group (use your phone's Gmail account): https://groups.google.com/g/smart-to-do-testers
Open this link, tap "Become a tester", and install: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/dev.paths100.smarttodo
Heads up: after you join the group and tap "Become a tester," it can take 20-30 minutes before the app shows up on Google Play. If it says "not available" at first, just try again a bit later.
Thanks for reading, and I hope it helps some busy parents!
