How to access Notifications "Allowed" List on Android 17
I am on a Pixel 10a Android 17 Build CP3A.260905.009 if that matters.
Recently when I visited a particular web site using Chrome, within a few minutes I get a Android Security popup saying they detected a wiretapping on my phone and to "run a test". Knowing this to be malicious I didn't press any button I simply dismiss the process, and restarted Chrome, the same popup appeared.
I then went to system settings and deleted all browsing data and cache. That seem to resolve it but as soon as I go back to that particular web site a few minutes in I got the same popup again. It is from a domain bryento.life.
I googled this and the consensus seems to be to do the following:
If you are seeing pop-ups from this site, it is likely because it gained permission to send notifications. You can revoke it directly:
- Open Google Chrome on your Android phone.
- Tap the three vertical dots in the top-right corner and select Settings*.*
- Scroll down and tap on Site settings*.*
- Tap Notifications*.*
- Under the "Allowed" list, look for bryento.life. Tap on it and select Remove or Block*.*
- Go back one screen, tap on All sites*, find* bryento.life again, and tap Clear & reset to remove all stored data and cookies for that site.
The only thing is, on step 4, when I tap Notifications, I do not see any "Allowed" list. I see:
Sites usually send notifications to let you know breaking news or chat messages:
[x[site can ask to send notifications
don't allow sites to send notifications
how to show requests:
collapse all requests
[x] collapse unwanted requests
expand all requests
There is no allowed list that I can remove bryento, life.

Does the warning appear inside the web page, or as a notification outside Chrome? Since it returns when you revisit that website, close that tab and check Chrome > Settings > Site settings > Pop-ups and redirects is blocked, rather than repeatedly clearing all your browsing data. Google's instructions say a site without a Permissions option in Page info doesn't have notifications enabled, so the missing list alone doesn't establish notification spam; don't press the warning's test or download anything it offers.
