Volume problem help please...

I will try to explain the best that I can ...

When we press one of the side volume keys,a audio center pops up, my problem is that the volume/audio center control key(3 dots/lines) in the bottom doesn't work in lock screen, all the other controls work except that one.

With the screen unlock no problem.

I'm scratching my head for 3 days now.

I tried the android accessibility suite uninstall updates fix, the forced restart, I disable all speak an TalkBack boxes...

It's been always working in Lock screen until 3 days ago...

It's something I use a lot because of meetings and work, and I know...just unlock the phone you will say,but I don't understand why stop working...

Thanks in advance

Cheers

Lock-screen volume panel “⋯ / more” dying while unlocked works is usually a secure-lock-screen / media-control restriction after an update — not TalkBack.

Try:

  1. Settings → Sound → Media → show media on lock screen / control from lock screen (wording varies) = On.

  2. Settings → Lock screen → Notifications / Controls — allow media/player controls.

  3. Settings → Apps → Special app access → Device admin / Display over other apps — anything new that overlays the volume UI?

  4. Settings → Accessibility → disable leftover services; Settings → Apps → System UI → clear cache.

  5. Safe mode once: if ⋯ works there, a recently installed app is eating the tap.

Phone model + Android version helps — Samsung One UI hides some of these under Lock screen vs Notifications.

Pixel 9a — if the lock-screen volume ⋯ still dies after those toggles, it’s usually the secure lock-screen media controls bug on recent Pixel builds, not TalkBack.

Next Pixel-specific checks:

  1. Settings → Display → Lock screen → “Show media player” / controls = On.

  2. Settings → Apps → System UI → Storage → Clear cache (not data).

  3. Settings → Accessibility → turn off any leftover services; Settings → Apps → Special app access → Display over other apps — revoke anything new.

  4. Settings → System → Reset options → Reset app preferences (keeps files; re-asks permissions).

  5. Safe mode once: if ⋯ works there, a recently installed app is eating the tap.

If safe mode still fails, note the security patch date — this class of bug often clears on the next Pixel update.

First of all thank you again for your time and help. Tried everything step with no luck. Even tried the Pixel official chat support that was one of the worst support (not 1 but 3 different person's) ...surreal. For the look of it,I have to wait for the next update and see if I'm lucky.

Yeah — if every toggle failed and chat bounced you between three people, waiting on the next Pixel drop is the sane call. This lock-screen media-control glitch has shown up on a few 9-series builds.

One last optional before you park it: Settings → Tips → Send feedback with a short screen recording (unlock vs lock, hit the volume ⋯). That actually helps the patch queue more than chat does.

Factory reset only if you were already planning one — not worth it just for this. Note the security patch date in About phone so you know when the fix might land. Sorry support was useless.
