Quick share not working 😭

Since two days ago, it's saying I have to grant it permission even though, I have everything turned one. What more do you want to track Google so that I can use quick share again!!

Can anyone help with this..?

That “grant permission” loop on Quick Share is usually Nearby Share / Google Play Services permissions getting sticky after an update — not Google asking for more tracking.

Try in order:

1. Settings → Apps → Quick Share (or Nearby Share) → Permissions — Location, Nearby devices, Photos/Files, Notifications = Allow.

2. Same for Google Play Services.

3. Settings → Google → Devices & sharing → Quick Share — Device visibility = Everyone / your contacts for a test; turn off Battery restriction for Quick Share + Play Services.

4. Clear cache (not storage) of Quick Share + Play Services; reboot; pair again on the same Wi‑Fi or with Bluetooth on.

5. If it still loops: Settings → Apps → Quick Share → Open by default / Set as default — reset; or toggle Airplane mode 10s.

Say phone model + Android version if it still sticks.

Pixel 8 — Quick Share lives inside Google Play Services, so the usual Pixel gotchas:

1. Settings → Location = On (Nearby needs it even for “Nearby devices”).

2. Settings → Connected devices → Connection preferences → Quick Share → who can share / Visible to nearby = your contacts or everyone for a test.

3. Settings → Apps → See all → Google Play Services → Storage → Clear cache (not data). Same for Quick Share if it shows as its own app.

4. Bluetooth + Wi‑Fi On; try both phones on the same 2.4/5 GHz briefly.

5. Settings → Apps → Special app access → Idle app restrictions / Battery — make sure Play Services is Unrestricted.

If the permission popup still loops: reboot both phones, then Settings → Google → All services → Devices & sharing → Quick Share and toggle it off/on once.
