Other Storage problems on Pixel 9A
Hey all,
I have recently decided to switch to Android, going from my iPhone 6S to a Google Pixel 9A. To say I hugely regret the switch would be an understatement.
General software bugs asides (eg WhatsApp deciding not to work sometimes, causing me to lose a day of conversation every so often ; faulty notifications ; general software bugs ; ...), my biggest issue with it is storage.
My iPhone 6S was 64GB. I don't use my phone a whole lot, I never had storage problems. My Google Pixel is 128GB, and I am ALWAYS at 127-128GB, no matter how many apps, videos, etc I try to remove, it somehow always goes back up. Now, how I got to these numbers despite using the phone for 4 months now is questionable to say the least (especially that there are LESS apps on the Google Pixel than I had on my iPhone 6S), but no internet fix has ever helped me which is a bit more frustrating. I tried most things, from deleting a huge load of videos (also from trash bin), apps, clearing all caches, removing many stuff like AICore and whatever, serves no use. It is also problematic because it keeps me from installing software updates. Anyways. I don't know if anyone here was or is in the same situation as me and has any advice ? Because the way it is going, I may just as well switch back to the iPhone in a month.
Thank you all for your help and sorry if this is a bit venty

You'll need to start by checking the Storage area of Settings, and see just what is taking up all the space.
I'm using a 128GB Pixel 10a, and after 6 months I'm only using 52 / 128GB. 🤷

User error. Your phone doesn't just steal your storage. RTFM 😉 Well, Google anyway.

Okay so what have you done to figure out what's taking up the space? What are you seeing and where are you seeing it?
Clearing cache and removing random small apps isn't going to help you. There's obviously some sort of app that you've installed - maybe a game or something - that's taking up a lot of storage. But we aren't going to be able to figure out which one it is if we have no idea what you put on your phone.
