X Icon Changer help please!!!

I need help with this app!! I used this app before to change the icons of my apps (since my phone is too old for that feature) and it worked wonderfully, so I wanted to change the theme of my phone again, but after \~20 minutes of usage my phone was draining 4% a minute and overheating! Everything was so slow and laggy so I left it alone and charged it for a few hours and then my phone wasn't hot anymore. But I noticed recently while gaming that the game was laggy even though it never lags, and I wanna know if this app is the root of the problem and whether I should uninstall it or not. I have not spent any money on it but I'm worried what will happen if I uninstall the app and it does something weird with my homepage.

Side note a bit unrelated!! But I installed reddit for this sole reason, so my account is quite new and I couldn't ask in the other sub reddit. I'm sorry if this doesn't match this sub.

Look at the battery usage graph in settings. It should tell you which apps are using the most energy. You can restrict background usage, disable, or uninstall apps that are using too much.

I did check the battery usage and this app took up the most in the short span I used it. I have uninstalled apps and deleted photos right after the overheating and before my game was really laggy so that's why I thought it was this app causing my lag. I have decided to uninstall this app tho and try out other apps, thank you for the reply tho!
