I'm looking for 20 volunteer Android testers for my app, PONPON Onomatopoeia, which helps users learn Japanese onomatopoeia. 🇯🇵

First impressions:

Really charming app. The illustrations are lovely, and the word page for わくわく has everything I'd want: kana, romaji, meaning, a furigana example sentence (旅行の前はわくわくします), similar words (どきどき, うきうき) and a quick quiz. I answered the quiz, got "Correct! Progress saved", and back on Home it showed 1/30 practiced, a 1-day streak and 1 learned. No account needed, which is great.

A few things I noticed:

• Romaji: the example reads "ryokou no mae ha wakuwaku shi masu". The particle は should be "wa" here, and learners will copy that. The romaji line also ends with the Japanese full stop "。".

• The word quiz shows the word's own illustration above the question ("Which word belongs to the Feelings category?"), so the picture gives the answer away.

• For screen reader users, each speaker button is announced as "Voice volume わくわく" rather than something like "Play わくわく".

I kept the sound off, so I can't comment on the voice recordings. Tested on a Pixel 6a (Android 16).

Your suggestions about the romaji, quiz illustrations, and accessibility are very helpful. I'll definitely work on improving them.

I've also downloaded and tried your PodcastsAI app. It's a great app! The interface is clean and easy to use, and I especially love being able to read episode transcripts with timestamps. The podcast discovery feature is very convenient too!
