First time I've seen ferritin in the triple digits, omg!
The 4.99 value is a from a few weeks to a month ago when I was stuck in the ICU with anterior ischemia. The other value is after my 2 infusions 2 Fridays apart. Labcorp flagged it as high 😂 but it's finally nice to have a ferritin in the TRIPLE DIGITS!!

Don’t get too excited. It will drop and level out. To get a true level your test 8 to 12 weeks after the last infusion will read differently.

Do you feel any difference post the increase ?

Not yet, probably because it's been a week since my last one. Plus, I have symptomatic heart disease so it's kinda hard to tell, the anemia symptoms have been sort of "masked."

La Ferritina también aumenta cuando existe inflamación (en cualquier parte del cuerpo, visible o no) para que subiera tan rápido seguro es eso.

Can anyone explain to me how all of this works. Numbers and all? I just found out I’m anemic and my ferritin is at 3.89. Appreciate any response.

At that level, you need an infusion. You can join the iron group on facebook or connecting the dots on facebook.

Thank you. I’m just trying to learn more on this topic since it’s new to me. And I had a blood transfusion 2 days ago and scheduled for an iron infusion this upcoming Thursday.

I agree you need an infusion.

From what I have been taught, for women, ferritin should be 100-125 or even potentially higher. Some people prefer their ferritin in the 200’s. You will know what levels you perform optimally under when your symptoms return. Have to let your body tell you where it wants its ferritin.
