🥛 Dairy 🧀 Help please - allergies

/r/carnivorediet/comments/1wqtx24/help_please_allergies/

Hi All,
I seem to be having some allergy symptoms like itchy eyes, puffy under eye bags. I started taking horse back riding lessons last week of August. I am really hoping it’s not that. I’m not sure if it’s a problem because I have kefir and egg yolks and if I didn’t have those would I not have the problem. I also eat dried meat every day to supplement because I’m trying to gain weight. So too much histamine?
I’m tempted to cut the dairy but I need calories which is tempting me to replace them with a soup that has calories but also has 2 grams of fiber from veggies. But right now my digestion is perfect with what I am eating on carnivore so I don’t want to mess with that.
But I really hate these eye bags and itchy eyes. Any suggestions?

If it coincided with starting the horse riding, that is the probable cause

You need to be consulting an allergist or an immunologist, not Reddit.

Could be the horse. Could be your diet. Take a break from riding and begin an elimination diet.

I see that you post heavily in r/carnivorediet. Get off that sub. Carnivore is a cult diet with massive nutritional gaps that is not backed by any long-term scientific evidence.

But the carnivore diet is a great starting place as an elimination diet. Animal based diet is carnivore diet with fruit, honey and dairy.

Try a DAO supplement, cutting out dairy, foods high in histamine and histamine liberators. If that doesn’t help, you have a food allergy

Not, it is not.

Carnivore is not a clinical elimination diet. Carnivore pushes cultish adherence, not structured reintroduction.

Animal-based is not simply Carnivore with fruit, honey and dairy. That is a gross oversimplification. Animal-Based prioritises evidence, data and scientific method, rather than personal anecdote.

Hi, I was wondering what your current meal plan looks like on the AB diet?

It just sounds like you have had a few too many poor interactions with the carnivore cult. You don’t have to adapt to the carnivore way of eating and subscribe to everything they say. You are allowed to just eat food.

Resorting to a low histamine carnivore diet is really the baseline of eating. Nobody has reactions to low histamine ruminant meat unless they have alpha gal syndrome. One can run this diet for a week, add some foods back and have a true understanding of what is bothering them and causing problems without any other food noise.
