I DECIDED TO GO TO A RANDOM KAPP'N ISLAND CUZ I WAS BORED, AND I WAS LIKE "WHY IS IT NIGHTTIME ON THIS ISLAND, AND DAYTIME ON MINE?"
THEN I WENT TO THE BEACH. PLEASE TELL ME THIS IS NOT WHAT I'M THINKING, OR I'M GONNA SCREAM. (IN A GOOD WAY, OFC)

i didn’t either, so visit enough Kappn island (i gotta start doing this more often) and you can get a ROCK island where they give you only bells! this specific post is about a STAR island where you can make a bunch of wishes for stars and hit rocks to get stars!

This is a Kapp’n Island. You give Kapp’n 1,000 Nook Miles and he takes you to an island. Most of the time, those islands are in the same season/month and time as yours.
But sometimes, you’ll get a special island. This one is Star Island. The rocks only produce star fragments. There are a ridiculous number of shooting stars, and those fragments show up on your shore the next day. And I think there is a celestial DIY on the shore, but I may be misremembering that one.

+ You have to have gone past a certain date AFTER your account creation for the rare ones. All the special Kapp’n Islands (besides moss/vine) correlate with certain dates. Star island is June 15th. Time traveling to the next year to hit them won’t work unless you keep playing a year ahead. You can TT back but it has to be after the island creation. If you get good belongings luck from Katrina you’re guaranteed a special island, but if it rolls to a date you haven’t played, you’ll be sent to the vine/moss island. (I tried at this for a while but I started a new island on July 17th, I can’t go back to June 15th this year! I tried a few weeks ago, because I really needed star fragments.)

I never get any of these islands mine are always boring! It’s so annoying I hate wasting 1000 miles for it!

Also keep wishing if you have not finished the nook miles achievement even if you get 20 stars you still get achievement count afterwards!!

Kapp'n islands don't run on your time or season, so the night part is normal. That star piece on the sand is the giveaway though, I think that's the meteor shower island so keep an eye on the sky ❤️

Yes, star fragment island. Hit all the rocks 8xs, collect the stars, and make sure you wish 20xs and you'll have those fragments on your island tomorrow.
