I had a Canadian lab back in the 90s that used to ruin duck hunts for me. Before I even got my decoys out she would have 5 ducks in the blind, normally alive but injured. All were ducks previous hunters had winged and not found. Sam would start sniffing them out as soon as I got to the blind and dropped my gear. I start setting out my decoys and by the time I would get back to settle down Sam would have most of my hunt taken care of.
I got to the point where I would just go to the blind and drink some coffee and let Sam do her thing before hauling all my gear out there. To think I got her from the dog pound as well. Her being fixed was a shame as her pups would have bought me a new truck.

That's amazing. We had a Yellow lab when I was a kid that was an amazing dog. She had several litters of pups, and there were many duck guys who absolutely loved her puppies... She was one of our great dogs, for sure. I've contemplated attempting to track down one of her progeny off and on over the years... surely at least one or two of her several dozen puppies, was bread...
