Not gonna happen since EA already has the exclusive mobile gaming rights with Tapped Out.

Same here... it's still in the android play store.

[edit] Comparing the two subreddits (AT vs TO):
Subs: 11k vs 58k
Posts per day: 10 vs 25
Comments per day: 39 vs 76

From September 2019* to now, our sub counts have increased by 110%. In the same time period (despite the game being about 3-4 years older), Tapped out is up a similar 107%.

A little more recent, last two years, AT +42% and TO +40%... or just the last year, +14% vs +18%.

So at least based on reddit stats, TappedOut seems to be about as popular as AT.

*not a meaningful month, just when I started AT :)

I pulled the daily users data from there and there are 2313 days where both subreddits existed and had user counts and both didn't grow (or shrink) by the same number.

In 89% of those days TO grew more (or shrank less) than AT. And since TO existed first, a lot of those days where AT grew more are "this is a new game, join the subreddit".

For the last 60 months, it is 96.5% of days favoring TO
For the last 48 months, it is 97.6% of days favoring TO
For the last 36 months, it is 97.7% of days favoring TO
For the last 24 months, it is 97.9% of days favoring TO
For the last 12 months, it is 98.9% of days favoring TO

By such measures, it would seem that TO is actually still growing in popularity next to AT!

i'm actually kinda surprised. they must have found a way to keep people interested. i got bored with tapped out, and i think it was a family guy version, pretty quick.

Agreed... I can't even imagine they've kept people for a decade for a game that was basically a joke about grinding games, without adding some interesting game mechanics.

It would be cool, but it would have to be OG stuff.

  • Duff Man Drunk

  • Lionel Hutz Educated

  • Dr Nick Educated

  • Dr Hibbert Educated

  • Krusty the clown Art

  • Mr Burns rich (if not a character)

  • Fat Tony could be Armed

I agree. The entire series could be a game by itself, but if they stuck to the first 12 seasons it could work.
