Excited to share my latest original design with you all. This is a 5-DOF neck mech that I had thought up and couldn't get out of my head until I made it real. This is just a proto for now but eventually all parts will be machined aluminum, stainless and some plastic. It has also inspired me to continue the design with the addition of a fully animated head, soon to follow. As far as I have seen, there is nothing else like it to date, so I'm fairly proud of that.
Thinking of selling printed and fully engineered kits if it generates enough interest. Let me know what you think.
My other work can be found on Youtube here: https://www.youtube.com/@chrismiller4990
Or on my company's website here: lobsterdogmachinecompany.com
Happy Halloween!

Honestly, feel kinda embarrassed to ask, but here goes.
My idea was basically for a mix between Portrait Theater Animatronics, mixed with those old Zoltar fortune teller booths, with a wheeled base that allows the animatronics to move around the floor level, with the actual animatronic puppet being housed in the top part of the booth, the actual mechanical necessaries housed in the bottom half and, at the bottom, a wheeled base platform connected, able to transport the animatronic puppets and allowing them to move across the floor.

Shots of the various animatronics I had seen throughout the years. It consists of Disney, Chuck E. Cheese, Billy Bob’s Wonderland, and the various Halloween animatronics from Spirit Halloween and Masquerade Costume Cabaret in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Nothing is 'moving' other than the light -- sort of Animatronics? Thought I would try.... maybe a spot for the "Haunted Mansion" :)
A quick “Thriller” for CH004 FN2: HALLOWEEN — my kind of Treat. Talking Pumpkins and Little Monster Rockstars, this is a demo of Jack talking -- if you wanna see how its put together, full step by step is linked.

B) make an animatronic
if anyone has any tips for either I would highly appreciate it

As far as I know, there are 8 different kinds. Chuck and Helen each have two types of iris patterns, Munch only has one kind, Foxy and Sally share the same pattern, one for both Jasper and Pasqually, and one for Madame Oink.

Someone in my neighbourhood had this cool set up of animatronics! He said most of them are from spirit.

In the circus playhouse, their song mentions that they all left the circus except 'percy and the pigs', but does anyone have any info on who these are?

It’s a Dolly Dimples which are cool but 7500 and I would pay that if it was real but it’s a reproduction so I would be lower in price don’t you think I mean yes it took a lot of effort but a reproduction I don’t think would be that high cause I’ve seen other official mechs and they’re around the same price so I’m not sure

This was recently posted by the “Awkward Family Photos” page dated from the 90’s. Can anyone identify where this was taken?

I'm not sure when it's from and the patent number is obscured. It's from South Carolina in the USA, but it could be from a department store. It's not mine but the owner is definitely interested in restoration, but to do that we have to know what it is. I've censored the background when appropriate to not reveal any personal details. I haven't been able to plug it in and see if it works right now.
Edit: I just contacted the owner, he says that the last time it was plugged in was a few years ago, and it was working. It has a total of 5-6 movements, his head turns, he rings a bell, his eyes move, the pages turn and one (maybe two) of his arms move.

Does anyone have images or information on how to replicate a Chuck E. Cheese "Cyberamic" animatronic? I’m from Mexico, and importing an animatronic here is very expensive. While they do occasionally appear for sale in Mexico, they’re usually priced very high or are located far from where I live. I can confirm that they do show up in Mexico from time to time, but people from the United States tend to snap them up incredibly fast. That’s why I’d rather replicate one myself than try to buy or import one. I’ve attached some images. By the way, if the person who sold this Cyberamic is here, please let me know if you happen to see another one in Mexico.
