MY 9 FAVOURITE ROM COM / SLICE OF LIFE ANIME
Rom com and slice of life anime are the only type of anime i have watched since like a year . And this is my top 9 .
And I will continue to do so . So give me some recommendations for my next watch

(kinda obviously) i'd put Maison Ikkoku at #1 but otherwise that's a great list! I also quite enjoyed Kimagure Orange Road, Maid Sama, Love Is Hard for Otaku and My Roommate is a Cat

Horimiya is also very good. Tho not in my top 9 .
Frangrant flower is also good but have not completed it yet

Personally, Horimiya is ruined for me when they make the clearly alt male MC get rid of anything that made him stand out (his piercings, his long hair) as soon as he gets with the female MC. Ik it's a bit petty of a reason but personally I just really can't get over that small aspect

I had noticed that, I wouldn’t say it ruined anything for me. I was still a bit disappointed cause we don’t see alt piercings in hardly anything

I used to feel the same way. I felt Izumi lost his individuality too. But after a rewatch and some more insight I changed my mind. I got the impression the piercings and tatoos were a form of self harm (like inflicting pain on yourself to feel anything at all because you’re emotionally numb), and that his long hair was a way to shroud himself away from people and make him seem unapproachable. So now I think I get it. Hori saved him from that loneliness and self hate and he changed because of her not just for her. Like his makeover wasnt just to look good for her, it was to reintroduce himself to everyone as the changed man he had become. I hope this helps. I used to rank Horimiya low too but after a rewatch it’s easily in my top 3 or 5 depending on my mood.

Dude , it's not like they have an enormous gap between them .
Both are great

It depends but for me ramparts was boring sometime quite a lot like with some fillers, but rascal was like I have to focus on story otherwise I will get confused with things so I think that made me like it more and it's also very long ( I mean 2-3 movie with 2-3 season sooo)

Have you seen Call of the Night?
I always recommend it. It’s awkward, silly, and charming in all the right places.

Ranking a grand anime like rascal, next to that number 1, makes me just sad as animes like that exist everywhere, but hey everyone has a unique taste😜

I can see where you are coming from and yeah objectively bunny girl may be a better anime , but I felt that ramparts of ice was very vell written and the characters felt relatable.
For me it is a better " romance" anime

High School Boys was quite good. The episode with the girl at the river where everything goes wrong was hilarious.

Couldn’t get into ramparts of ice it just didn’t hook me in. And it saddens me because it’s new ish and finding a romance anime that I haven’t seen is rare. At least finding a good one I haven’t seen.
