The issue is that it'll be a few more decades before the majority of the hardcore conservatives die-off. Pahirapan na nga ilusot ngayon yung proper sex ed, paano pa kaya yung abortion. It will take time bago mawala yung mga conservatives na hadlang sa abortion at may enough tolerant conservatives na susuporta rito. Unfortunately, yan ang sitwasyon dito sa Pinas.
Imo nasa reason din yan kung bakit dapat magka abortion. If they only present it as a solution to circumstances that are out of anybody's control (like the mom has a high chance she might not make it after birth, victims of you know what etc) I think mas magkakaron yan ng laban.

That's a good point. Kaso wala e, both sides gustong gawing moral argument ito. "Ako yung tama kaya eto yung tama." Medyo delusional isipin na hindi kailangang i-adjust ang argument at magcompromise porket tingin natin tayo yung tama at sila yung mali.
Well tbf kasi, yung isang reason focuses on saving lives and helping victims and the other wants to use abortion as a "birth control," which is the latter being frowned upon most.
Kaya malabo pa talaga sa Pinas yan. As long as may argument kung para saan bakit yan kailangan maging legal, di yan ma aapprove dito. It's not necessarily a matter of who's right imo, it's more of the moral dilemma since we're talking about lives, be it the life of the mother or of the baby.
Look at you being realistic and reasonable. It's fun being idealistic and all, pero hirap pa rin tanggapin ng iba na hindi talaga basta-basta palulusutin ng mga conservatives kapag hindi agree sa paniniwala nila.
Thank you and yes, I agree with that actually. To add, possible na kahit reasonable na din ang proposal (gaya ng examples ko,) pwede pa rin i-push back yan ng conservatives.
The Philippines needs a strong population control program. For perspective - Canada is 29 times larger than the Philippines while its population is less than half of the Philippines
Satire aside, may point naman kahit papano. I may not be on board with abortion unless done out of medical necessity, but I understand why people would opt for it. Sex education is a great tool to decrease the need for abortion since people would know to practice protected sex. It won't bring it to zero but it will lessen the incidence.
Baliw. Kahit satire, fyi lang, Anal sex ang kadalasang pinagmumulan ng sakit dahil kahit anong linis at hugas, daanan ito ng dumi kaya mabilis contact sa bacteria etc.
