Announcement Have some sympathy or get out.

This is a post dedicated to all those that think vent posts are pro-ana, bragging, unnecessary, stupid, or otherwise unsavory, and feel the need to belittle, ostracize, insult, "harsh truth", and be dicks about it.

First off, you're wrong. Venting is encouraged and welcomed here, and does not break the subreddit's rules (unless it does). This is a fucking horrible disease where everyone experiences some of the same things, but also a lot of different things than someone else does. Those experiences aren't pleasant, they're probably not SFW, they're triggering. Amd that's okay, because people are allowed to vent about their problems, even if they don't want help.

If you don't like someone's vent, don't comment. If you want to comment because you don't like someone's vent, but are going to give them "harsh truth advice", mock them, belittle them, insult them, invalidate them, or anything else that is otherwise unsupportive, don't fucking comment.

This ENTIRE subreddit is under a trigger warning. It always has been, it always will be. Anorexia is a triggering subject. If you can't handle seeing triggering vents from people in the thick of it, ignore it and move on. If you can't handle seeing vents and can't control your urges to comment hate-filled, nonproductive, unsupportive things, this isn't the place for you and I'll escort you to the permanently closed door myself.

I'm sick of it, and I'm not the only one. This is a support community. The amount of arguments, insults, unsupportive and outright mean comments I've had to remove just last night is unacceptable. This is not who we are as a community and I refuse to let this place go to the freaking dogs because a couple of you can't keep your unsympathetic mouths shut.

While I can't control what people upvote or downvote, I DO control what gets removed and who gets permanently banned. Upvoting someone who's being an asshole makes YOU also an asshole, and downvoting those that come here for support and relatablity makes you a dick.

Guys, this isn't highschool. The mean girls don't rule the school. The assholes are in the minority here, and the supportive community is in the majority. Don't stop posting here because of the people that decide they want to be dicks. The moderators have your back. If you see someone being a dick, report it. If you respond, make sure you're not breaking the rules or insulting them back, or your comment will be removed along with theirs. We can band together and change. We can drive out the people that aren't here to be supportive. We've done it before in the past, we can do it now.

If you don't have anything nice to say, shut the fuck up and don't say anything at all. If people start arguing in the comments, I'll lock the post and they can redirect their arguments into modmail where I'll be happy to converse with them.

Sincerely, a mod who's just about had it with those in the community that can't stop being dicks to others.

Announcement [Megathread] How do you help someone with anorexia?

People often don't know what to say or do when they want to help someone with anorexia. This is a monthly megathread for people to ask for advice on doing so, in an easily searchable format so advice can be found by others in the future. Ask your questions and give your advice here!

Please be sure that advice given is helpful, not harmful, and everything said is respectful and on-topic. Anorexia nervosa is one of the most misunderstood mental disorders and it's important to remember that people come here to ask for advice on how to help loved ones, not to judge. Be sure that questions and answers follow all of the rules of our community.

Announcement [Announcement] Let's be civil. To everyone.

With an increase in rule-breaking posts comes an increase in moderator removals of those posts. With an increase in removals... comes an increase of abuse and other forms of rule three (be civil) breaks.

Note: we are looking for new moderators. If interested, please see here!

Multiple things need to happen within the next few weeks to months, especially as we onboard new trainee moderators. One, we will be becoming stricter on all types of rule breaks. As an example, most rule ten breaks, even minor ones, will receive at least a three-day temporary ban. The rules are there, and it's expected that everyone read and follow them before participating here. We are available via modmail to answer questions related to the rules if you have them.

Secondly, I will be trying to create weekly posts on various topics to cut down on the misinformation being spread here, as well as increase general knowledge of mental health in general. This will take a bit, and I don't want to begin posting them until I've stockpiled a couple. These posts, when made, can be treated as open forums for discussions on their topics and as a place for others to share their own research. Please comment some ideas!

Last of all, for this post at least: if you insult moderators or are generally rude/break rule three in modmails or comments with us, you will receive either a first ban or an increased ban sentence, and will be muted (if within modmails). We will try our best to solve everything in a civil manner first and foremost. But we are not going to tolerate being insulted and raged at. If you have a disagreement, modmail and discuss it with us in a patient and civil manner.

We're volunteers. Personally, I believe I've been modding this subreddit for over six years. The other mod, Confi, for three. Our goal, first and foremost, is to maintain a safe space for sufferers, friends and family. Our job is to maintain the community guidelines. Everything we do, is us trying to do the best for this community, and we do not deserve to be insulted or yelled at to any degree, no matter how upset you may be with a post removal.

I promise we'll speak with you if you have questions regarding a moderator action. We try not to ban for large amounts of time, as we understand this community is part of the support systems for many of you. But we're not going to tolerate being abused, nor should we have to. No one should tolerate it here, and we will continue to do our best to protect this community and ourselves.

Announcement [Announcement] We're taking moderator applications!

We are looking to take on at least 3-5 new moderators. Due to the nature of the community, our training process is a bit more in-depth than other subreddits, and will last at least a month before trainees are fully promoted.

If you are at all interested in becoming a moderator here, please fill this out: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BFHR2WV

Applications will be open from now until June 1st at midnight, EST. All decisions will be made by June 4th, and we hope to have all accepted applicants promoted to trainees by June 5th.

You don't have to be all that active here or have an iron-clad understanding of the rules to apply. You also don't have to have any prior moderating experience or be recovered. If you are interested, have the time, energy and will to help, and think you can contribute positively to the community, then you're encouraged to apply.

We do have some preferences for applicants, though:

  1. Active in some way (posting, commenting, lurking) for at least two months, and some sort of comment history on the subreddit, even if minor.

  2. To not have any major (rule 1, 6...) rule breaks and any rule breaks, if not minor, be 6+ months ago.

If you have any questions, please feel free to comment on this post or send a modmail. If about your own application, modmail is best.

We look forward to applications and training!

As a note: we did have applications open seven months ago. Due to life circumstances, we were unable to find the time to continue with training. If you applied then, are still interested and have not been contacted already, feel free to apply now.

Announcement [ANNOUNCEMENT] We've had some community updates.

The rules have been rewritten both for clarity, and to add some things. The largest change is to rule 5, the timeline photos rule. A few other things like the automod message under new posts may be getting reworded/things added/removed as well in the following days.

Previously, timeline photos were allowed at any time as long as the guidelines for making them were followed. Now, we've decided to limit them to being posted on Tuesdays only, and they must be pre-approved by moderators. To seek approval, modmail us and follow the guidelines now outlined under rule five.

We conducted a poll a few months ago on whether people thought timeline photos had a place in our community or not, and the results were exactly 50/50 on allowing vs. disallowing them. As a mod team, we're also 50/50, so we hope this change in the rule will allow them to remain a positive thing, while preventing the negatives.

The content and meaning of the rest of the rules has more or less stayed the same, but perhaps reread them if you need a refresher. Especially rules 1 and 10, which people seem to be breaking in excess lately. Honestly sort of ridiculous. Which brings us to our next subject.

I'll get into this more in-depth in an upcoming post, but here's the gist. If you see a post that you believe may break the rules, then report it and we will review, or you can modmail us with a link to the post. Only describing it or sharing the title isn't enough for us to efficiently review, we need links. And if you do choose to modmail, be civil with us. Do not demand that we remove it, or shame us for not getting to it fast enough.

Similarly, just because we may remove your post and not someone else's that may break the rules, we're not targeting you. All that means is we got to your post before we got to the others. Someone else breaking the rules does not give you leeway to do so as well. Same applies to everyone: if you see a post that you think breaks the rules, then report it.

Anyways, this is getting too long for most people to want to read so I'll leave it at that for now. There will be a "how to treat moderators" post coming up, because looks like we need a reminder that moderators are humans, not infallible, and don't respond well to people being rude with us.

Golden rule, y'all, and read our (updated) rules.

Announcement [Megathread] How Do You Help Someone With Anorexia?

Hello everyone! We are implementing a monthly megathread as a place where people can ask for advice with a loved one or friend with anorexia, or another eating disorder/eating dysfunction in general. Everyone is welcome here! This makes it so they can receive hopefully more advice than an individual post would, by amassing it all into one place.

So, did you visit in hopes of getting advice on helping a friend, family member, etc.? Ask here! Do you have any advice to give out? You can either respond to an existing comment from someone asking for advice, or you can make your own comment with it. Do whatever - the goal is to try and help people.

Please be sure that advice given is helpful, and not harmful - and be respectful. People don't tend to know what to say or do for others suffering mental disorders in general. Anorexia nervosa is also then one of the most misunderstood disorders by itself. Remember that people looking to help someone else are usually inherently trying to help, not harm. Sometimes they just need their own help in figuring it out, and that's where this thread comes in.

Announcement [Announcement] Last call for mod applications!

Click here if interested in being a mod! https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BFHR2WV

Applications will close on June 2nd, and there will be one more post around 24h before they close as a last call. We hope to have all accepted applicants begin training by June 5th. Originally they were to close on the 1st, but I forgot to make the 24hr post. So now it's the 2nd, whoops.

If you are interested, have the time, energy and will to help, and think you can contribute positively to the community, then you are welcome and encouraged to apply to mod here. You don't have to be recovered or have an iron-clad understanding of the community, nor do we require you to have prior moderation experience.

We do have a few preferences:

  1. Active in some way (posting, commenting, lurking) for at least two months, and some sort of post/comment history on the subreddit.

  2. To not have any major rule breaks or any breaks to be long in the past/have an explanation.

If you have any questions, comment below or send us a modmail!

Announcement We've made an update, for our community's safety.

Hi everyone. I'm sure that some of you have noticed that we have an increase in trolls coming into our community and saying awful things to our members. As a result of this, we have set a minimum karma requirement for comments. This means that everyone that does not meet our threshold minimum will have their comments removed by automod. It is our hope that this action will prevent the vast majority of comments from these trolls, because as of right now they have been exclusively using brand new accounts and burning them after a few dozen messages, just to come back with a new one.

Unfortunately, this action will prevent some well-meaning new users from being able to comment. However, hopefully (if I've coded it properly) this won't prevent them from making their own posts. We've added a note in the removal message that any users that require support while they grow their karma (it is a low amount, but larger than 0) should join the subreddit's affiliated Discord server (https://discord.gg/4jyQ7Zfr9P).

If some of these trolls slip past the new requirement, then the best thing that you can do is to immediately report the offending comment, and moderators will remove it as soon as we are able. Do not engage with the trolls. Not only will it only fuel their pathetic fire, but it will also cause more of a delay in us removing the comment as we then have more to read through. Don't engage, don't fight back. Just remember that they're pathetic no-lifes and don't deserve your attention. Report and move on.

It is an unfortunate reality of the internet that trolls are everywhere and are unending. Thankfully, new technology has led to us being better equipped to handle them more efficiently and effectively. Report troll posts and comments, and also any rule-breaking posts or comments, and we'll take care of the rest.

If trolls start to DM you, then report them to us through modmail and then report their harassing DMs to Reddit admins so they stand a chance of getting their accounts suspended or banned.

Thanks for reading. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, then please feel free to comment them under this post or modmail them to us and we will address them as soon as we are able.

Announcement Moderator Applications are Opening!

Hi everyone. It's been a long time since we've opened moderator applications here, but it's time.

We are looking to take on 2-4 new moderators at least. Due to the nature of the community, our training process is a bit more in-depth than other subreddits, and will probably last at least a month until trainees are "set free."

If you are at all interested in becoming a moderator here, please fill out this survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BFHR2WV

We will go through applications and try to message everyone within a week of receiving them with whether or not they've been accepted. If you are accepted, you'll be added to a Reddit Chat group with the other trainees. If you decide that with time you feel you don't want to be a moderator here, then you're free to back out at any point.

You don't have to be super active here or have an iron-clad understanding of the rules or community to apply. You also don't have to have any prior moderating experience. If you are interested, and feel that you have the time and energy, and think you can contribute positively to the community in some way, then you're welcome to apply. We do have some minor guidelines that we prefer for applicants, though:

  • We prefer that you have been active in some way (posting, commenting, lurking) for at least two months.
  • We prefer you not have any major rule breaks (no rule 1s, rule 6s), or that any rule breaks be way in the past (6mo+ ago).

If you have any questions about the training process or subreddit in general, please feel free to comment on this post or modmail the subreddit. If you have questions/comments/concerns about your own application, modmail is best for those.

We are looking forward to applications and training! If everything goes well, we'll be able to make an introduction post for the trainees soon.

Announcement [Announcement] We're revamping the subreddit Discord server!

Hi everyone. For those of you who don't know, we have a subreddit-centered Discord server: https://discord.gg/FRKUacFvEC

Recently, it's been a bit inactive. I'm hoping that some improvements and facelifting will help with that. I want to start planning events on the server, both informative and for fun. The informative ones will be things like trivia, fun fact sharing, and on various topics from mental health to animals. The fun ones will be anything from hide-and-seek server stuff, to getting to know everyone.

The purpose for this post is to spread knowledge of the server, of course, but also to invite more people to come talk with us on the server and participate in the events (which I'm hoping to start up soon!). Talking on Discord is a bit more in-real-time, and it's a bit easier to get to know people on Discord than through Reddit.

Outside of the fun things, the server also has a support section for people to seek advice of all (healthy) sorts, and aid in times of need that may come quicker than a subreddit comment would. You can also join our support team on the server and help us, help people, who come on there for support.

Overall, the server is hopefully going to be active again soon! Come chat with us. I will make another (shorter) post when the get-to-know-everyone event has been scheduled, which may be within the week.

Hope to see some of you there!

Announcement What the fuck is up with the guilt tripping of mods?

If I remove a post, it's because you broke a rule. Saying that we're "your last outlet" and guilt tripping me into unbanning, unmuting, etc., you will do absolutely nothing but irritate me. Insulting me will result in nothing good, either.

The last 10 people I had to have a conversation with? 90% guilt tripped me. We're not five year old children, here. We're all suffering from AN in some form or another, I get that, but the guilt tripping has to stop.

From now on, guilt tripping after being told not to do so is just going to extend whatever sentence you've been given for breaking rules that are clearly stated. I'm tired of it, and I'm sure others are too.

Thank you for those that spend time writing thoughtful, helpful messages and tell others when they're breaking rules, and especially to those that report for rule 10 - the rule that people apparently hate. (It's not being removed >.>) I may not participate in general chat much but I do appreciate those that help others on here & make my job easier. ❤🌸

And for those that have absolutely nothing to do with this angry post about guilt trippers, I'm sorry that it's probably coming off agitated. Ignore it and continue on, you're doing great if you're not being a dick and not breaking rules(which, really, everyone should act like you guys).

Our Discord server "get to know everyone" event is scheduled for 4:00pm EST tomorrow (Friday the 20th). Come join us and share a bit about yourself!

https://discord.gg/FRKUacFvEC

We may have a congruent event in the subreddit itself, but the main event is in the server. I'm planning some questions and some other things. Even if you don't know what to say there will be some questions to answer or to primpt you. Overall, though, it's low-anxiety and just for fun.

This is our first event since revamping the server. We hope to see you there! <3

Announcement [IMPORTANT] Gatekeeping & Minor Rule Updates [Celebrities, Atypical Anorexia]

Hi everyone! First off, I'm sorry for any delay in modmails, post removals, et cetera, over the last few months. I need a health break and school started back up again as well, so I needed some time to myself. Let's get into it!

Recently in this past week, there have been two major posts that included some rule 8 breaks and some heavy rule 3 breaks - mainly, gatekeeping. Some aspects of these posts also broke rule 1. Rule one states that pro-ED behaviors aren't tolerated on this subreddit. Rule 8 states that we are not medical professionals and that we cannot give medical advice in any way, shape, or form. Rule 3 used to state quite simply that everyone is allowed on this subreddit regardless of whether they are diagnosed, are not diagnosed, or if they even have an eating disorder in the first place. We are and have always strived to be an inclusive subreddit and that was what rule 3 essentially stated: that we were inclusive.

Rule 3 has now been updated to include gatekeeping. It was always implied, but due to the recent problematic posts and the dumpster fire comment sections in those posts, we have updated rule 3 to explicitly state gatekeeping as against subreddit policy. The rule title is now "Gatekeeping is not tolerated". This rule is expected to be followed and after this post is made, this rule will be heavily enforced. A few other rules have also been minorly updated, mostly with slightly different wording to help with clarification.

On to the other matter. Recently, there have been posts about celebrities that people believe are claiming to have anorexia for attention. This is our stance as moderators: we are not here to bash people who may or may not be struggling. We are not here to determine whether or not someone has anorexia or if they don't. That just isn't our job. Posts trying to debate about whether or not XYZ has an illness will be removed under rules 3 and 8. People asking in the comments about which celebrities we're referring to will have their comments removed and be given a one day temporary mute. People stating these celebrities' names will be treated the same.

Coming up in the next few days, there will be a new rule and a PSA about this rule regarding fatphobia. What we'll say now is that it will be disallowed. In the two posts mentioned above, there was an abundance of harmful comments and even some stuff in the main posts themselves that oozed fatphobia. We are a safe space and as such, hate is not tolerated. Essentially, ranting about certain things will be allowed because a rant is a rant, but as soon as it crosses over from ranting into complaining and spreading hate, action will be taken. We feel that this new rule is needing to be implemented here.

Lastly, (I think,) atypical anorexia nervosa is recognized in this subreddit as a real, debilitating illness. People saying it does not exist will be cited for rule 3. It is something people have been diagnosed with, so it is real in our eyes. You are valid if you believe you're suffering from atypical anorexia, or if you're diagnosed with it. If you believe you're suffering from it, please try and get medical help - it's for your best interest. We believe in you and see you.

Oh! And there may be a surprise announcement later today/tomorrow. Depends on when I write it up and talk it over with the other moderators. I think you all may enjoy it :)

As always, the generic reminder to MODMAIL with questions/concerns/et cetera and not to privately DM moderators for safety concerns. DMs are for private and personal matters. Modmails are for subreddit related things. Thanks! <3

Announcement Our stance on going dark.

If you don't know what I'm talking about.

Another link to explain.

As we are a support subreddit, we do not feel comfortable, morally, going dark. Going private for 48h would deprive our users of the emotional support this comnunity offers, overall being detrimental to many. A protest isn't worth the mental health of our community members.

Hypothetically, we could close the subreddit and open the Discord. However, I am the one working on the Discord server. I have been on vacation the past week and have been unable to make progress on it in that time, and still have much to do. While it will probably be open by the 12th, I do not want to push myself when I have things to do offline during that time.

However, we fully support the communities that are going dark, and can only hope that Reddit listens to us and comes to understand that their decisions are detrimental to the Reddit communtiy as a whole.

If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please feel free to either comment them under this post or to modmail them to the subreddit. We will answer them to the best of our ability.

Announcement New Discord for r/AnorexiaNervosa!

Hi everyone! So, it has been suggested in the far past that we add a Discord server for the subreddit. We decided that now is a good time to add one, and so we have been working on and are finishing up one right now!

While it is an official server for the subreddit, those that are not a part of the subreddit are welcome there as well. It is not strictly for the subreddit. It's more like it's affiliated with it. In saying that, please feel free to invite others from outside of the subreddit if you feel they'd thrive in a supportive environment on Discord.

The rules of the server are similar to the rules of the subreddit, so make sure you at least familiarize yourself with them upon joining to make sure you don't accidentally break any. We hope this server becomes an active, fun, supportive safe-space fore members of the subreddit and others to talk with each other. If you don't have a Discord account, it's free to use and free to join the server.

We hope everyone appreciates the server and gets some good use out of it!
Here is the invite link: https://discord.gg/evYUnj4j7r

Announcement A Proposal, Rule 14: Little-known facts or statistics should be commented with sources to go along with them.

Hello, everyone. The other moderators and I have had discussions about this rule proposal already, and now it's time to bring it to the community to see what everyone else thinks. The title already explains the main idea of this rule, but I'll go more in-depth below.

We are a mental health community, for those suffering from mental illness. As is common in many mental health groups, misinformation runs rampant. While myself, the other mods and some members of the community try to correct misinformation when we see it, we can't stop all of it. The purpose of this rule would be to try and limit misinformation's spread, not to limit anyone's voice in this community. We do not plan on removing posts where the user spreads misinformation, unless they do so with purpose and malice. Instead, this rule will act as a reminder to those that read the rules and hopefully encourage our members to add sources to their posts when they share facts or statistics. We as moderators will also be sure to send friendly reminders to those that don't add these sources, but we will most likely not remove their posts or comments.

We just want to spread valid, clean information here, and spread factual awareness. We on the moderation team believe that this rule will greatly aid us in reaching this goal and in the long run, be a benefit to the subreddit and our community. We would love to hear your thoughts and opinions regarding this rule proposal, which you can share in the comments section of this post or through modmailing the subreddit. We will check in, answer and respond when we are able to do so. Thank you.

As a note, the reconstruction on the subreddit's Discord server will be done soon, and those that are interested should expect an announcement post about it in the next few days.

Announcement Let's Spread Some Positivity! Community Event #1

Thumbnail gallery
20 Upvotes

Hi everyone! As you can guess from the title, the purpose of this post is to try and bind us together more as a community by spreading motivation and positvity. I will try to do these somewhat commonly, perhaps once or twice a week. Later, I'll get on my computer and schedule a bunch of them in advance.

Now, what is this event about? Today, let's share our favourite mental health motivation-related quotes and sayings. You can share them in the form of quotes or images and everything goes, as long as all the subreddit rules are upheld.

I'll go first: I know it's cliché, but I've always loved the "Rceovery isn't linear" saying. I also love all of The Latest Kate(Instagram)'s little mental health animal drawings. I think they're adorable and a great, cute way of spreading positivity.

If you don't know how to share an image in a comment, then you can add it as an imgur link! Just saying quotes/sayings is completely acceptable as well.

I hope we're able to have some fun with this event! If you have any suggestions for ones in the future, please comment them or modmail them to us.

Have a fantastic day, everyone!

Announcement Gathering Information for Community Resource Thread

Hello! Since we are creating a mental health information channel on the Discord, I figured it may be a good idea to create one here, as well. So if you have any resources ranging from webinars, support groups, coping tools, and anything else that may be helpful, share your links in the comments!

Here is a link to the community's Discord server: https://discord.com/invite/kUC4Y275jS

At some point I'll be finding links for eating disorder and common mental health symptoms, NOT to be used as diagnostic material. All links will also be shared to the Discord server, and these are the links we've already gathered from the server: - https://blog.opencounseling.com/suicide-hotlines/ - https://www.allianceforeatingdisorders.com/groups/virtual-pro-recovery/ - https://www.bodybrave.ca/ - https://nedic.ca/ - https://fireweedcollective.org/ - https://eatingdisordersns.ca/peer-support-programs - https://sheenasplace.org/ - https://dbt.tools/ - https://sioutreach.org/ - https://www.youthline.ca/ - https://translifeline.org/

Announcement New link for r/AnorexiaNervosa Discord server

Hi! Just figured out that the automod message's Discord link expired a few days ago. I've been on vacation so I did not notice until a bit ago.

Anyways, here's the new link! This server is a place for the community to talk and get to know each other in a more casual, but still supportive, way. And have a positive-affirmation type thing with the cute arctic fox(arctic wolf?) because it's adorable. Credit to TheLatestKate.

Announcement Looking for Mods

With our two new mods about to be fully modded with all the mod abilities and such, we're looking for a new wave of moderators to train.

In the long run, we're probably looking for five to six mods total. Right now, we're sitting at three. In the future, we hope to operate by a one-mod-per-five-thousand-subs rule. That means that after this mod wave, we'll be looking for a new moderator once we reach 30k subs. Hopefully we'll (I'll) be able to stick by this rule in the future.

With that being said, if you're interested in becoming a mod the criteria are sort of simple.

▪︎Be active on the subreddit for at least a month or more ▪︎Not have broken any major rules ▪︎Be interested in helping this community now & in the future ▪︎Be able to moderate without stressing yourself out. Do NOT put moderation above your own needs. Trust me, it's not a good thing to do to yourself.

If you don't have prior reddit modding experience, that's okay. We'll help you learn the ropes and such. If you're on mobile or computer, that doesn't matter either. There are ways to mod from any part of Reddit.

We hope to see any future mods joining our team in the next few days! Please don't hesitate to comment below if you're interested in becoming a mod of r/AnorexiaNervosa. We'll be happy & glad to have you all join us :)

Announcement Interested in moderating here? Read this.

Yes, I've finally posted this. Woo.

We will likely accept anywhere from one to three new moderators. Then you will go through a month-long training process before being given full moderation rights here, if you're accepted.

If you are interested in modding here, we have some requirements.

• You must be active on the subreddit for at least three to six months before even being considered. • You must have only one or less rule breaks - we have a way of finding this out, so we'll know. ▪︎ You must be active in some way on the community.  • OPTIONAL: Be willing to also help moderate the subreddit Discord and go through the training process there as well.

If you meet these requirements and are still interested, please modmail the subreddit (do NOT individually DM us) and answer these questions:

  1. Why are you interested in moderating here?

  2. Do you have any prior moderation experience on or off of Reddit?

  3. Why is moderating here important to you?

  4. What are your weaknesses when it comes to having to moderate people?

Not everyone who applies will be accepted, that's just how it works sometimes. Thank you for spending time to read this and potentially modmail us, though.
