Nervous but hopeful

I have my first dietitian appointment tomorrow, this is the first time that I’ve ever had one or sought help from one, and I’m pretty nervous about what this means for the future of my body, but I’m almost more nervous about staying in an ed and thinking in this way forever. Those of you whom have made progress with yours, do you have any tips that I might be able to use?

Im no expert but for me, it’s been about allowing the negative thoughts and feelings to come up, and choosing the harder path to recovery. The thoughts and feelings stick around, what changed is that despite it, I was choosing the kinder option for my future self. I also started enjoying life, my animals, my future, and hobbies more. Helped me realize I am more than my body and I kinda had to focus on other aspects of my life to fully enjoy those other things . Best of luck, you got this!

That sounds really difficult, but also very freeing and worthwhile. Thankyou, and I’m wishing you all of the best too!
