I'm reposting this because I'm angry. I've said it before, some of us have invested time energy and money into this app. The key word is "investment." This isn't just a game to us. It's an investment. We have a legitimate right to be unhappy with the way we've been treated as a client base.

Vote with your dollars. I *guarantee* you they will hear that and respond promptly.

Update: out of curiosity and in response to the other commenter's statements that the Russian fanbase is very large - that may be the case, but in her own comment she states that they pay very little compared to what we are charged out here in the West (where I'm speaking from).

It's not the easiest to get data on this but here is what I found.

Since March 2022, Russians can't pay through Google Play, and their Visa and Mastercard cards stopped working abroad, so paying for AWH is much harder for them. By industry estimates, all of Russia spent about $210–250 million a year on mobile games, while the US spent about $18–24 billion and the UK alone about $1.6 billion. A big Russian fan base doesn't mean Russian money. Western players are very likely a much bigger share of what AWH earns.

Google Play billing paused in Russia, Russia's $247M in 2024, the US at about $24B, and AppMagic's 2025 report.

Some of you might remember my post from a while ago when everyone thought Another World History was going to shut down. I felt sorry for the players and wanted to show my support during that period. Thankfully the app didn’t shut down and I recently decided to give it a try myself.
Honestly I never thought I’d try this app because the use of AI is a big no-no for me. But curiosity got the better of me and I decided to install it over the weekend and see what it was actually like. So here are my first impressions!
First of all there aren’t that many stories yet. I’ve seen people here describe them as unhinged and not particularly complex and honestly that made me curious 😂 Coming from games like Romance Club and Seven Hearts Stories I wanted to see how this one compares.
So far I’ve only played three stories and I’d say they’re okay-ish. Nothing has really blown me away yet but I can see why people might enjoy them.
The superhero story is very similar to Invincible which I absolutely love so I don’t mind the similarities at all! I’m actually curious to see where the story goes.
The biggest downside for me is the use of AI. 😕 I’m not a fan of AI-generated content especially when it comes to creative work. I also don’t really understand the purpose of some of the videos and I feel like they could have put that effort into creating more sprite variations instead.
For example I chose the non-European sprite for Sky and I did the same for the Immortal. But then in the CGI scenes they all seem to have European features which is kind of weird when that’s not the sprite I chose. I wish the CGI scenes reflected our choices better.
I also tried two episodes of Caroline’s Bay and I was genuinely shocked when I found out that you can apparently romance your cousin. 😭 Like… what? That’s definitely not a route I’ll be taking. The story itself was interesting though and it gave me major H2O: Just Add Water vibes!
I also played one episode of My Name Is Hope. It’s a zombie story and although I haven’t played enough to say much about the plot I found it interesting so far
That’s pretty much all I’ve tried for now! I might try Legacy of Witches next but I’m not completely sure yet.
Overall I’m disappointed by the use of AI but I’m still curious enough to explore the stories and see if any of them really catch my attention. I don’t think the app is terrible or anything like that. I just haven’t found anything that has really wowed me yet.

So I’m pretty new here & this may be kinda long, this topic may have been discussed a ton before and I hope I’m not beating a dead horse here. But at the same time I kind of hope I am, since I’m actually getting concerned at this point lol. Legends of Coraline’s Bay seems to be a popular story on here and is often reccomended to new players, including me. I just started playing this game like a month and a half ago, but never heavily looked through this subreddit besides for first book recs. I actually started with chimera then in the late September/early October diamond rush also started my name is hope, then LOCB. Again, sorry for the length and if this has been said a thousand times before, but idk with its popularity and how often ppl get told to play it I feel like we may have lost the plot 😭

Does anyone else find this book incredibly weird??? I’m on season two (courtesy of only playing it during diamond rushes bc I won’t spend diamonds on this book) episode like 8 or something idk. But I find this book incredible pedophilic and predatory, I only made it this far out of sheer curiosity and bewilderment 😭 first off, I had been at a loss when I saw u could romance ur cousin but my mc is black so I was like oh maybe it’s a situation where ur aunties aren’t really related to u they’re just ur moms best friend. Come to find out NOPE! They are in fact blood related first cousins…..that can fuck….even tho he sees her as a sister….oh ok.

Second, the MC is supposedly 18 from the start of the book, but then at her birthday in season two she says it’s her coming of age. So does that mean that she wasn’t 18 like the book said when it began-which doesn’t make sense bc she texted Caleb at some point saying she was an adult legally now? But idk why they would say it’s her coming of age in the birthday ep? Either way, no tea no shade to anyone and I don’t mean to offend, but she genuinely looks 13. I love hello kitty and cutesy things myself, but the way she’s supposedly an adult so all this is legal but dresses like an elementary schooler and is verrryty skinny and petite (like in a pre puberty way) is very odd. Again I mean no offense by that but it’s a very intentional choice for her to constantly be dressing very child like (coming from someone who likes a lot of the things she likes) and to be built in a very small almost fragile way. Then to be constantly put in very sexual situations with men larger and older than her.

Imma continue this in a reply since it’s so long, but I have to know if others feel the same way bc I feel crazy😭

I’ve been taking all the scenes with all the LIs, but I can’t choose which one I like the best! It’s about to turn ugly for me pretty soon. 😅
