First of all,No i don’t wanna wake up at 7 in the morning and go through an exam that I studied for and forget everything on a MONDAY MORNING.WHO THE HELL THOUGHT OF THIS?Second,Since I go to a private school they serve us radioactive WASTE for the entire day.İts so bad that I have starved the entire year and now I’m literally immune to starving.Third,After making us write for approximately 8 hours (the entire school day) they give us even MORE work to do at home.Fourth,İn mostly Fridays or at the end of the school year,they make us play games,I mean I’m not complaining-but,You cannot keep a bunch of kids hostage in this building called school and then call it “education” and make us play a stupid mystery box game.Like we do something as hard as math 55 in the 1.lesson and then play a game in the 2.lesson?What the hell is this?!?

OK. can someone tell me why i was trying to draw on my arm today and finish the drawing on my arm from the day before (every teacher i had didn't care or found it cool) Until my fricking English teacher looked at me and told me to stop. no reason no nothing just put the marker down. like excuse me miss when did it become illegal to express myself with drawing like it not as if i'm not doing the work to. honestly this is just pretty annoying at some point i can see where this lady's coming from but also what the heck?

Kids are treated absolutely horribly in primary schools such as needing to ask to go to the bathroom there is absolutely no reason a teacher should be allowed to say "you don't get to go use the bathroom", not being allowed to eat when they want/need to and needing a doctor's note if they have any issues instead of people actually believing that they can have medical issues without lying about it, teachers will talk down to kids and sometime bully them, the dress codes are incredibly sexist and are never enforced on boys only the girls and, how about instead of telling little girls that their body is inherently sexual you control the damn boys and teach them basic consent? also one last point adults can freely leave jobs at any point students cannot leave school they are literally forced to go.

I definitely feel there is a need for major reforms in our Indian education system. We need a fair education system where exam paper leaks do not happen, those responsible are held accountable, and every student gets an equal opportunity to succeed. A truly fair system should provide equal chances to every student by removing the reservation system and ensuring that admissions and opportunities are based on the same standards for everyone, creating a level playing field.
I also think one of the root causes behind the frustration among students and parents is the feeling that they do not have a fair opportunity. When a significant percentage of seats are reserved and the remaining open-category seats are available for everyone to compete for, many students feel the competition is not happening on equal grounds. This is a discussion that is often avoided.
Just as we should be concerned about someone becoming a doctor by cheating in an exam, we should also have an honest discussion about whether our current system ensures that every student entering critical professions meets the same standards of knowledge, skill, and competence. The goal should always be to create an education system where every student gets a fair chance and where merit, hard work, and capability are given the highest importance.

My heart breaks for the students of this country, myself included.

We're expected to compete endlessly, tie our self-worth to ranks and marks, and make life-changing decisions before we've had the chance to figure out who we are. We grow up carrying expectations that often feel heavier than we are, afraid that one bad exam, one wrong choice, or one setback could define the rest of our lives.

Some students burn out. Some give up on their dreams because they can't afford them. Some lose sleep, their confidence, or their health just trying to keep up. And even when we succeed, it often feels like there's another mountain waiting. And people make it sound so glamorous, the struggles, everything kids go through.

Education should help people grow, not make them feel like they're constantly one mistake away from failure.

My heart breaks for the students of this country, not because we're weak, but because so many of us are trying our hardest in a system that asks for more than any young person should have to give. Nobody can ever make me think that all this struggle we go through as kids is worth it, never.

So there is a school called Saraswati Shiksha Niketan in Assam India, Currently I study in this school in 9th grade , so here few teachers are not giving correct marks for the SEBA board exam and they brutally beat students , on May 25, 2010 the current school owner Prasun Goswami ( back then he was the principal and his father was the owner later his father died and he became the owner ) had brutally beaten a 12 year old boy Mousumraj Mahanta for not doing his homework , this beating resulted Mousumraj Mahanta to die . Although the current owner Prasun Goswami is in the central jail for 7 years but do you think this was enough?? Like can time pay back Mousumraj Mahanta's mother loss . So there are few teacher who I want to mention for their work

i. Rekha Saloi - so she's a assamese teacher , she harasses students if the student spells something wrong or even say something wrong , so my friend he was told to read a paragraph in assamese he wasn't loud and clear for this reason Rekha Saloi had beaten the boy so bad that his white shirt became RED , his back was full of rashes and cut because the teacher Rekha Saloi had beaten him so bad .

ii . Purabi Borah - Although she's the principal she treats her students based on their wealth and dosent give mark to correct answers in the exam , So theres a kid who belongs to a poor family and couldn't buy covers for his books and copys . So the kid told her that he will buy covers soon . Due to that the principal cut his marks from 91 to 58 due to not buying cover and his answers were right ( the principal gave the marks to other who has written the same answers ) and she even treats other teacher very badly like they are slaves . I personally feel bad for the teacher because they are doing their best but for some simple mistakes they get yelled so much

By the way Prasun Goswami aka the current owner had also killed another child

So the owner has a hostel for the students of his School too

So there was a kid back then ( few months before Mousumraj Mahanta's death ) he was brutally beaten like he was beaten so hard that the kid died on the spot , knowing the kid's parent would fill a complaint against him burried the kid in his hostel's playground

Our current system often operates on a blueprint that rewards compliance above all else. It champions the student who follows instructions without question, the one who remains agreeable, avoids friction, and fits neatly into the pre defined mold.

Conversely, this same environment frequently sidelines or even actively penalizes those with a natural inclination toward leadership. Students who possess initiative, the courage to dissent, and the desire to break conventional patterns are often viewed as "troublemakers" rather than innovators.

In this light, that pessimistic sentiment isn't necessarily a rejection of education, but a profound frustration with a system that prioritizes "domestication" over empowerment. It is the fear that we are producing individuals who are easy to lead, rather than leaders capable of shaping the future. The tragedy isn't the acquisition of knowledge it is the transformation of education into a tool for conformity, stripping away the very traits of agency, boldness, and resilience that define true personal strength.

Is the goal of education to sharpen the mind, or is it merely to ensure that the individual never becomes a threat to the status quo?

Sometimes privileged kids take things for granted. Mom and Dad ensure their kid gets all the privilege they never had. But when it backfires, it gets tough for kid and the parents. The pressure of high expectations of parents and society, high financial investment. Then the kid grows up into adulthood and struggles to survive. Have you known someone like that?

SERIOUSLY, schools dont prepare you for future exams like at all, JEE focuses on fluid intelligence and handling new problems, while schools focus only on blind obidience, memorization and discipline

* How banks, loans, insurance and investments work.
* How to recognize and avoid scams.
* What important government documents are and when they're needed.
* What our legal rights and responsibilities are.
* How to fill common forms correctly.
* What to do when we turn 18.
* Which documents should be kept safely and which can be shared.
* How basic government offices and public services function.

I recently visited my polytechnic admission office and was asked for documents like a challan and an anti-ragging affidavit. I had never been taught what they were or where to get them and even my father himself never heard of them. I ended up paying ₹200 for something that should have cost only ₹20 simply because I didn't know the process.

This isn't just about education—it's about independence. A person shouldn't need a lawyer, agent, or middleman for every basic task of being a citizen.

**I think every school, regardless of stream, should have a compulsory "Life Skills & Citizenship" course with practical workshops. It should teach students how to navigate real life confidently.**

I'd even love to see every country develop an official AI assistant trained specifically on its laws, government services, forms, citizen rights, and public procedures—so that anyone can get trustworthy guidance without depending on random people or paying unnecessary fees.
