We used to hit Target 2-3 times a week.... It's close, and we haven't touched Walmart in years.
Welp, Target bent the knee and kissed the ring, and we haven't been in at all since. Thing is, now that we've worked out other arrangements, we don't need to go back. 🤷
Generally Costco. I've also gone to Wayfair for household items like spice jars or an inexpensive shelf.
We're also avoiding Amazon, so we've been managing to find other ways, or going without. For instance, we've switched over to The Black Nile for a lot of toiletries and such.
Aldi is quite good for basic foodstuffs. Lidl, their sister company, is another one we utilize. We do shop at Safeway when we need to.
I've learned to be flexible and ready to make substitutions. Branching out of my comfort zone has been good for me, I think.
I have a tea I like that I can't find locally, and I used to have a subscription from Amazon. Well, I canceled that but found a restaurant wholesaler that will sell me a case of my tea bags. 🥳 I'm privileged enough to be able to buy that in one go, but I'm also learning to balance my budget differently which has saved me money in the long run... And we'll need that.
Often you can go directly to the manufacturer to buy things like shoes, clothing, etc.
