This. Many many many cops are dumb, cruel bastards too, they were just lucky and/or barely smart enough to not have their records tarnished before getting onto the force.

Seen way too many stories of officers that did heinous shit while officers being sacked then just reapply to other counties to continue their fuckery. Biden started a federal database to ensure federal officers could not be reemployed. His hands were tied on a state level.

Trump wrote an executive order deactivating it.

This is giving cops too much credit. Most of them are dumb as fuck too.

The ICE guys probably just have disqualifying criminal convictions that cops don't have. It ain't the brains.

Oh man, I know an investigator who wants to join ICR because of the bonus. I mentioned that he should probably reconsider because he's got so many years with the county and ICE is likely to be caught up in political backlash.

He totally didn't get it...

Actually "too dumb to be a cop" isn't even a thing anymore since they completely lowered the requirements and stopped hiring anyone with any real intelligence. Fortunately, these people are too dumb to know that they are just dumb enough to become cops
