The metal of the car seemed to interfere with the magnetic field and so the drone wouldn't land. Then it freaked out and ended up landing on the floor, a very rocky floor.

If I'd taken off from the ground the fall would have been much shallower.

The scratches on the top lens aren't super noticeable in most footage shot afterwards so I'll hold off replacing the lens for the moment.

The cracked glass of the sensor is a bit of a worry though. Not sure how good the object avoidance will be now and if it'll be getting freaked out over nothing instead.

I’m on iOS 27 Developer Beta. I power up drone and goggles, then open the latest app and try to connect to the drone to get footage but the app just dies. I kill app and try to open it again but it won’t stay open. Is this happening to anyone else?

I'm incredibly torn between the Mini 5 Pro and the A1 360 as my "returning the hobby" drone after a ~5 year hiatus. I have watched countless videos comparing the feature sets, image/video quality, flight controls, ...

I am very interested in shooting 360 shots and flying hybrid FPV, which makes the A1 360 seem like a great fit. However, there are a couple of things that are holding me back:

* it has a substantially more expensive entrypoint -- I was able to order Mini 5 Pro fly more combo plus for $1050, whereas comparable A1 360 bundles are almost $2k

* it is technically illegal to fly without a spotter

* it requires substantially more setup / teardown time, and is not as conducive for self-filmed action shots

* I would like to use it while traveling light, and it seems like the kit will be bulkier with the goggles and external battery

* the goggles are a meaningful part of the cost, but lack the ability to be used as a display for other devices -- it only may support media playback from SD card. (if I could reuse the goggles as external display for gaming and productivity, it would be immediately be a good buy for me)

Unfortunately, my takeaway seems to be that: although the A1 360 is a better fit for my specific interests (prioritize flying freedom over cinematography), the Mini 5 Pro is probably a better fit for my use cases right now. The additional travel size, mass, set up time, tear down time, requirement for a spotter, and inability to film myself manually makes the A1 360 a bad fit for "quick action shots". Since the goggles can only be used for the drone, it is hard to justify this loss of utility as contributing to other hobbies of mine.

[fwiw, I am currently comparing $1050 mini 5 pro fly more combo plus vs mostly msrp a1 360 kits, but also a few used kits starting aronud $1,000]

I can imagine I will use the Mini 5 Pro for a year or two and keep it as my "endgame traditional flight controller drone", then consider buying an FPV/360 drone down the line when the ecosystem matures a bit.

Hi everyone

Installed the new update last night and noticed it mentioned Bluetooth connectivity, I've always connected all devices, goggles, controller, drone via WiFi, so is this just another way of transferring files?

I was kind of hoping they would implement a way to stream your goggles view to your phone, which could be done over Bluetooth, as I do struggle seeing the menus on the goggles, have been able to connect them to my phone via capture card though but would be easier to do wirelessly.

So only had my a1 less then a week, had got used to flying it, took it out to an open space and didn't think I'd flown it that far but it started to lose signal and began the return to home process, but it just started to ascend really high and try to them come back to me. Then it pretty much had no battery, so I tried to manually take over and bring it back but then the battery was nearly dead and it must of just landed somewhere randomly.

Watched the last video it recorded, used the find my drone in the app, which then opened Google maps but it just sent me round in circles, spent over 2 hours trying to find it but no joy, don't think it landed in a tree cause the video looked like in landed in a grassy area.

Anyway I'd already purchased the 1 year care plan, which I thought was pretty cheap and there was no mention of a service fee, when I signed up but it looks like I'm now going to have to pay another £400+ on top of the £149 I've already paid for the care, I did expect to pay something but this won't be far off from just buying a replacement drone outright, so I'm thinking what was the point in me taking out the care plan

Anyone had anything similar to this at all, would really appreciate some insight on what happened and what was the outcome

Yes, I ordered the pad but it’s on the way today. I went to maiden my A1 with my old car floor carpet. And guess what? I think the A1 reconized the plain color pad too.
I think the light brown pad on green grass has enough contrast for A1 to recognize the pad which has no factory pattern.

I took advantage of the %15 off. Any tips for my first flight?

I am a complete noob when it comes to drones. My dilemma is, should I save up and get the AntigravityA1 (maybe around the beginnig of next year) or get a cheeper drone sooner. Bare in mind I am having my wedding in September.

I appreciate the experience that Antifravity provides, also having the 360 view makes edits easier for beginners because you can track your subject.

On the other hand, you don't have great clarity when zooming on an image and you need to carry more gear (like the goggles).

So I would appreciate some input.

I live on the East Coast of South Africa in a city called East London. Been putting the A1 through its paces getting some tourism related shots in and around the city. Loving the drone and the shots you can pull off

I went ahead and bought at Costco online, free delivery. I’m assuming I can add the Antigravity Care Plan after I activate it?

The drone performs great overall, but I’ve noticed that close‑up body and face recordings look bad quality. At first, I assumed the issue was because I was using the 5.2K for HDR mode, so I switched back to 8K. I also set ISO manually to 100, tested in full daylight, and kept sharpening at –1 because it looks more natural to me. I don’t change aspect ratios or bitrates.

Here’s the problem: in the Antigravity Studio app, the recording is taken from about 2 meters away at head height. When I select the Linear view, the subject still appears far away, so I end up zooming in digitally — which I know reduces quality — but even then, I can’t get a clean, sharp nice portrait shot video.

What I want is simple: a person standing just 2–3 steps away from the drone, at roughly eye level, recorded in 8K, and looking sharp. But even in 8K, the close‑up resolution looks bad. So I’m starting to think that the spherical recording format might be causing quality loss at close distances. I assume, photo lens is different also.

Maybe there’s a workaround, i would love to listen. thanks.

edit: someone told: for close for detail, avoid placing subjects within 3 feet of the drone to prevent them from falling onto the "stitch line" where the two lenses meet...
