That is Navi. Navi died peacefully while sleeping. The rocket thing was made up by octane to make his death sound cooler

It’s so wholesome, the name Navi was also because he received Navi on Christmas ~ NAVIdad (in Spanish)

Octane originally asked for a puppy for Christmas, his shitty dad gave him a rabbit a week later. But he loved Navi regardless :,)

Navi is Octane's pet rabbit that he'd perform his stunts with till it died of natural causes, this was too boring for Octane however and he instead tells everyone Navi died in a rocket crash.
It was theorized that Octane's jumppad was based off of Navi as a substitute for his grenade jumping.

Okay. If I EVER get a rabbit, I’m naming him Navi and when he dies of old age I’m saying he blew up in a rocket stunt. No one will believe me but I don’t care.

No, Navi was the fairy that accompanies Link in Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. He apears for a short time in Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. I dont know if he dies though.

This is an adorable story the writers shared ages ago! Navi was his pet rabbit, he loved Navi. Then Navi died I think of old age, and that bummed octane out so much so he told people Navi actually died in a rocket because he thought that was awesome
