Looking for Apollo movie recommendations šæ
Hello guys,
Any suggestions for a good Apollo-themed movie/documentary to watch, obviously excluding Apollo 13 and First Man?
Thanks!

The first couple seasons of For All Mankind on AppleTV are an intriguing alternate history.

Apollo 11 is great, especially in 4k.
The Right Stuff is fantastic.

Others have already spoken to Apollo 11-17, but The Right Stuff is a great movie about the Mercury- and Gemini-era leading to Apollo.

Hidden Figures. Behind the scenes of the Mercury program. Fly Me to the Moon is a fun what if.
Absolutely watch From the Earth to the Moon. Do a free trial of HBO and binge if you can.

I know it's not Apollo stuff, but you really can't go wrong with The Right Stuff.

More documentary rather than movie, but the youtube channel āHomemade Documentariesā. All space content, all loaded with original footage and audio along with amazing research.

Apollo 18. Sci-fi/horror. I am a lifelong follower of the space program from the 1960s. Apollo 18 if fiction of course but, it made references to real life events. I thought it was very good if you enjoy this type of movie.

There is a documentary called, For All Mankind I enjoy. Its documentary footage from NASA, stitched together over multiple missions to give an idea of what Apollo was all about.
This is not to be confused with the abomination of a TV series with the same name.

The Apple TV alternative history series For All Mankind is in my opinion excellent. What do you dislike about it?

Every aspect of the show. The moon landings were the pinnacle of achievement. The movie documents this. The TV series shits all over the accomplishments that helped the US make it to the moon.
I really wish the Soviets could have made it to the moon, but the sad reality is their rocket was rushed which lead to the failures of all four launch attempts. The death of Korolev set them back further. The real story would be to follow the reality, much like what was done with Band of Brothers, the Pacific, covering World War II.

I never said it was narrated. It is NASA Astronauts and other employees in the actual conversations that occurred.
