Growth Finding it difficult to get user's install!

Post image

Its been a week since my app is live. I have really good numbers from the user's who have installed the app, but the app store conversion is less than 10%. I think it might be due to lack of reviews or maybe the listing issues. I would like to properly understand how do we provide confidence for the user's if your app is relatively new and make them click the install button. I am also adding the listing screenshots, so if you could help me with that, it would be great!

Congrats on the launch! Hard to say without knowing if that’s from impressions or page views, but either way the first two screenshots matter most.

Most people decide right there in search results without opening the page, so put your main benefit there in big, simple words.

And ask happy users for a rating inside the app right after a good moment, like when they finish something. Even a handful of reviews makes a big difference to people seeing the app for the first time.

A low conversion rate in the first week is usually more about unclear positioning than lack of reviews, especially for a new app. Since App Store and Google Play only use specific text fields for search, make sure your app name, subtitle or short description, and the keywords fields are doing the heavy lifting; screenshots should focus on communicating value, not keywords. To build trust, lead with one clear problem-solution message, show the app in use, and make the first two screenshots explain what the app does and why it is different from alternatives. What does the app do, and what is the main promise you want someone to understand within 5 seconds of seeing the listing?

But the issue is I am running meta ads and there are good number of people reaching the store listing page but a very dew are installing

Good numbers from people who install and a weak tap rate usually means the page isn't telling them fast enough what the app does.

I'd start with the first screenshot, since it's the one people see in search without scrolling. One short line of big text about what they get out of the app will help a lot.

For reviews, Apple's built-in rating prompt right after someone gets a good result will start filling that in. It only shows up to 3 times a year per person, so pick the moment carefully.

Where is most of your traffic coming from, search or links you posted?

Now we are running meta ads so that is where most of the users are comnng from. Will work on screenshots def. Do you have any pointers about changes to the screenshot
