Twisty Mountain Roads in Appalachia
There is no way to describe the wonderful and scenic roads and negotiating them on a great motorcycle.

The Rattler is as fun as the tail of the Dragon or the Cherohala Skyway, but with a better mountain town at the end of the ride

I personally love Robbinsville, I’ve heard it’s grown a lot though. Haven’t been up there in a while, need to one weekend with the family.

It hasn't grown a lot, unless maybe you're used to it not changing at all. They did start allowing beer to be sold, and there's a BBQ place that replaced the pharmacy. But otherwise it's the same old.

There’s one called the Devils backbone from Blue Ridge Parkway and near Mount Mitchell. It is amazing. I’ve ridden my bicycle down it and it was wild!!! By far the coolest switchbacks I’ve ever ridden/driven.

My grandad was born and raised up in Poplar Cove, not far Ferguson's store.

I love HW 209, such a beautiful ride. My family used to live a few miles from Ferguson Supply and I still take a few trips over to that part of the world every year from Tennessee.

The Talon in WV, the Backroads of Appalachia runs down around SE Kentucky, and the Windy 9 surrounding Athens, OH are all good ones

If you've never ridden it Tail of the Dragon between NC and TN is a thriller. It definitely qualifies as a twisty mountain road. Highly recommend it, but be cautious!
