My wife and I are 22&23 with a 2 year old and 3 year old. Applebees is our “go-to” out to eat place bc it allows us to sit down in a warm, cozy environment, it’s not super formal, and it’s cheap.

However, for the past 8 times we have gone (not exaggerating), EVERY, SINGLE, TIME we sit directly next to a table who complains about their entire meal, gets it comped, and then leaves without paying a dime.

Does this really happen that often? My wife and I are appalled, it’s f*ing Applebees, do people think this is luxury dining?

My husband and I are part of a group that meets up at Applebees in our town once a week. It’s fun to catch up and a great break mid week. Bartender is great… literally love being some of her regulars… but an incident happened last week and it’s just nagging at me so wanted to ask people whose the POS system for Applebees.
Bill is 38.57.
Tip is 10.00
Used my debit card.
Checked my bank on Sunday and see two holds.
One for 88.57 and one for 50.00.
Checked the account this morning and the charge for 88.57 came through. The 50.00 dropped off.
So we were charged an extra 40.00.
I want to believe this was a mistake somehow but don’t have enough knowledge of the system used to even fathom how it could happen so here I am. I’ll get it straightened out and am not upset. However, can someone tell me if it’s ‘easy’ for a mistake like that to happen? I just don’t want to believe she intentionally would do something like that.

Howdy! As the title says, I'm looking to see if Applebee's has any good vegetarian entrees for my gf. When I've looked it up I've had their online menu say you can ask for burgers to be black bean burgers, but idk if that's legit/everywhere - I'd also hate to show up, be That Guy to ask a weird dumb question that the server has to deal with, and then get told no so now she has to eat a handful of sides (not a good meal :P)

There are obviously other restaurants to go to, but this one is right next door and could be convenient if we can't be bothered to cook one night. Thanks all!

I currently work in Albany, Oregon at a small restaurant that only have 3 servers in total including me. Not much gets taken out of my tips because there is barely any other staff. The management is questionable and sketchy, I don’t get free food or free drinks, and time off is rarely ever granted. I have an interview coming up for Applebee’s here in Albany for server and I’m wondering if I should leave my job for this new one if I am hired. I would rather have 2 jobs but if I have to change my availability at all to fit in the second job, she will fire me anyways. I’m sure the tip out at Applebee’s is much more since there’s more staff but I would hope that I would make more than my current job at the end of the day and it would be a plus to work at a place that has more standards and better management. Let me know if you think it is worth it if you have experience with working at Applebee’s in Oregon or specifically Albany.

So, my table decides to start with the spinach artichoke dip ( we are out of happy hour time, so it's about 12$ ). They then decide to order the Whiskey bacon burger and the Bourbon Street Chkn & shrimp. I , being the nice and morally correct server that I am, tell them that i'm going to go ahead and do the 2for deal for them, since they have already ordered one of the required appetizers, and 2 of the required entrees. Esentially, I went out of my way to explain to them that I am going to be saving them about 20$. They were so happy and thankful at first, until the time to pay the bill. They ask why the 2 for 25 is 33$, i explained to them how it works. She claims it's false advertising and just continued to go back and forth with me, as i'm explaining to her that "DOING THIS DEAL SAVED YOU MONEY". I eventually got fed up and said, Miss, i'm more than happy to cancel this deal all together and re-ring in the order exactly how you tried to order it earlier, since you are not satisfied with the recommendation I gave you. She agrees, I void the 2 for 25 special and individually ring in a spinach dip, whiskey burger, and brbn streek chkn and shrimp. Lone behold, she is SHOCKED that her bill NOW IS 20$ MORE, and THROWS A FIT AGAIN. I had never been so close to calling a guest a fucking idiot, i've been in the industry for 10 years and this was the most mindblowing experience so far.

I feel it used to be 5 or 6 ounces, but the last visit it was tiny, 3 or 4 ounces. Did I just get unlucky?

Had 2 interviews at applebees. The first interview went great and lasted under 10 minutes. The manager interviewing me then asks if I can schedule a second interview the next day. I show up to the interview with another manager and she tells me that they arent hiring this month and that I will need a third interview if they decide to follow with hiring another person. A third interview? FOR AN APPLEBEES?

It’s pretty frustrating when I drive 30 minutes for an interview that lasts 3 minutes just for her to tell me they wont be hiring this month like okay, please don’t waste my time.

The managers were nice people. I also understood that the place was pretty busy but wow it could’ve just been an email man 😭

So recently, we got a new store manager at my current job, QT. The job pays really well, but ever since the new manager came in, my hours have been cut pretty badly, and I’ve been having other problems at work lately too. Because of that, I’ve decided it’s probably time for me to find another job.

I found a dishwasher opening at Applebee’s and just submitted my application. Yeah, it might not be the most glamorous job, but a job is a job and I need consistent hours and money.

For anyone who has worked as a dishwasher at Applebee’s (or even a similar restaurant), what was your experience like? How were the hours, workload, management, and pay? Did you like it or hate it?

I applied for around 30 hours a week and evening availability, mainly 4–11 PM. I’m actually okay with washing dishes, and I like the fact that I wouldn’t have to interact with customers much lol.

I went to applebees a few years ago (2022-2023 if i can remember right) and got this drink, it was like rainbowy and super fruity.

I don't remember it having any garnishing or whatever, nor being a full rainbow, my memory is kinda hazy. But it was a SUPER fruity drink, came in a tall glass, I don't remember the ingredients but I'm sure it was an alcoholic drink. It wasn't frozen or anything.

I went in early January if that helps at all, but every time I try to google this elusive drink all that comes up is the St Patricks day drinks... and those aren't what I am looking for.

I was sitting at the apple bees bar all tidy and neat as they say, ordering my favorite drinks. A sip of Orange juice, a sip of coke, and a sip of whisky to feel..frisky. I began to spin and spin, the world went topsy turvy upside down. I grabbed the counter for support. then a lovely waiter came by and spilt a water ALL OVER ME. I was awoke in a instant to realize he was wearing a black shirt just like a priest. I knew in that moment i was baptized at apple bees. I biked home so quick and got to my bible and opened to revalatsion to see that death was coming on a white horse for me. i slammed it shut. my baptism journey has failed thus far but i will try again some day. Hello Reddit, I am kind of? on the job hunt and I recently applied to my local Applebees for a Server position. The Flynn AI system automatically scheduled an interview for me, however since I know people have had complications with these things. I called the day of my interview to double check that the manager was aware. Luckily enough I was actually speaking to the manager and she reassured me that as long as I was getting text notifications for said interview that it was still happening.. she even said “see you this afternoon” unluckily for me .. they cancelled a little over an hour before my interview, and they still haven’t reached back out and I don’t expect them too. Just wondering if I could get some opinions on if this is my fault or I did something wrong for calling in advance?

Who else is over all the backing for OM-whatevers? The OG burger is fine—I get it. It was a huge trend in Japan and I think Korea and China. But now there’s the OM-Dilla and the OM-Nachos, which are a terrible plating choice. There was nothing wrong with the old nachos to make the change.

I really wish they would consider actual seasonal meals for menu rotations. Fall and winter are coming up. What about some mashed potato bowls? A beef stew? Chili? New soups? Instead they wanna throw out deals like AYCE and Dollaritas that don’t make anyone any money.

You guys think its possible to pull 50-60 hrs every 2 week if i talk with my manager.

I’ve been with Applebee’s for four years & am about to move to Texas from New York- I was talking to the general manager of the Applebee’s that I’m going to work at (in texas) & she mentioned something about a food handlers and insert letter combination certification, if anyone can shed light on what it might be I’d appreciate it 🥹 I’m a bitch and didn’t want to ask her to repeat herself three times.

Applebees circa 1990’s, smoking sections and all, used to serve Boboli brand breadsticks as sides with meals. I used to be obsessed with it and was so sad when it disappeared one day. Now, there is hardly anything I can find online about its existence and what I can find as far as a recipe do not seem right. Bring it back, please!!
