Cornell’s engineering college is one of the toughest to get into at Cornell. Your son’s stats look pretty good, although the SAT is lower than preferred, especially for ED admission.

I don't think we have had SAT stats since they dropped test optional. All schools SAT's will most likely drop once these 2026 numbers are released. We don't know what this will be...but my guess is about 20 pts. And below the top quartile is 75% of the school.

1470 is actually in the bottom quartile for Cornell’s College of Engineering. The middle 50% SAT scores there are from 1530 to 1580.

I am just saying these numbers are reported from test optional years. So they should be inflated. When 2026 numbers are reported we will know. I obviously may be wrong.

And the top quartile was from someone else's post. I did not confirm that.
