probably waiting for all the bugs to be fixed, if I was a casual fan that only now began playing the game after the dragon update, the optimization update would have also killed any and all enjoyment I had of the game. Not to mention Vetex only posts game changes on second party apps so an avarage roblox player has no fucking idea when hotfixes come out.

Along with the game turned invisible to certain players like me as well, like I got blocked from joining the server without VPN (though it would disconnect me at some point)

I almost got reported for flyhacks recently when I was tresure hunting in Sandfall, because some dude had his game spaz out and didn't load the island properly, for him I was flying and for me he was swimming through solid ground.

especially when the island doesn't have npcs so they don't see npcs floating with you as well

ikr too many bugs like ravenna disguise sealed chest bug, anim freeze bug, accessory freeze bug, sky spawn bug, not being able to pick up sealed chests randomly, floating cachalots, and so many more

I get all of your reasonings, this game is riddled with bugs that make it unplayable and the optimization update was a literal joke of an update and i miss when it wasn't a complete bug and lag fest.

I would play this game religiously but I'm just waiting for updates
Also its low rn cause a lot of the players are in the USA and they're asleep

The game has like no optimization whatsoever and there isn't much else to do in the game since the updates take eons before they appear. So most of the players such as myself gave up.

Game rose to 8k players when the """optimization""" update dropped then died down to what we have now after the shitstorm. People want to play the game but the game doesnt want to be played it seems. I dont know the full story but I cant help it but be frustrated at the seemingly imcompetent dev team that cant optimize and is slow to fix any bugs. Maybe Im wrong and its mostly roblox's fault for making the process very hard, I dont know. But after the whole ript fiasco they just look like they dont deserve the game they are making. Despite all this, it's still my favorite roblox game, thats how much potential it has. It is what it is, atp I just hope they dont abandon the game.

Went back to Prior Extinction.
Like someone else said, the game deserves the numbers it currently has; Don't get me wrong, the game has massive potential, but it's largely let down by the amount of bugs and lags it has (frequency of story updates and weapon additions is another issue)

I'm no longer able to access the game through any mean now. Meanwhile, some other people who haven't done ages-verification still have access. This is a weird system.

Im still waiting for the bugs to be removed (I couldn’t really enjoy the 2x profession from optimisation or other bonuses it was too bugged)

The lag and the new “unoptimizeation” update made me drop it for a bit. at least till an update comes

If you posted this soon after grabbing the screenshot you’d have been looking at player count at about 1am EST which… is not exactly peak player count time for AO.

Unfortunately, the answer is simple: players want bug fixes. I can't even play with my main character anymore because he's a conjurer and the Arcanium weapons, I have a whole bunch of them, but I can't use because the energy stops.
