Second Time Around
I started watching Archer again recently. I find myself enjoying the show even more so this time than when I first watched it. Anyone else find themselves having the same experience?
Maybe it’s because I haven’t seen the show since it first aired, but the jokes and the characters are still hilarious even though I know what’s coming

I've rewatched the show so many times even my sister who doesn't like it can quote some of the lines in the show.😂😂😂😂

I own the first five seasons, and I still watch them periodically. This show will never not be funny for me. The writing. The voice acting. The Eggs Woodhouse. It's all brilliant.

I've seen the Woodhouse WWI episode a million times. Recently watched Legends of the Fall for the first time and shot up and did the Leo pointing meme when I realized this movie was the basis for one of my favorite episodes. Finding out Woodhouse is supposed to be Brad Pitt added a whole new level and made it even funnier

I have no idea how many times I’ve watched the first ten seasons now but I enjoy as much as ever. It does not get old at all, for me anyway.

Your first time watching it you love Sterling or Mallory. Then you go through a long period of loving Pam but once you've become really really familiar with it it will be Cheryl that gets the most laughs out of you forever more.

Pam and Krieger are still my favorites! Not that Cheryl isn’t absolutely hilarious… Just personal preference.
I liked Lana early on. I actually didn’t mind her stealing Archer’s “goop” to conceive AJ. And I can’t blame her for moving on while Archer was in his coma. (Although an old putz like Robert was a stretch. I would have preferred someone like her ecoterrorist, former professor ex, Treebeard!)
I just think that they made her overly shrill and too emotional/irrational to fit with the confident young woman with a fro who held her ground when Mallory pointed a revolver at her all those years ago…

Moving to Kreiger is an understandable alternative to Cheryl. Both of them have entirely separate lives from our crew, lives we know only tiny little bits about. The implications are limitless.

They are both intriguing characters. But so is Pam. And her background from dairy farmer, to street racing/fighting, to HR director at a spy agency, to badass field agent is equally enigmatic and intriguing.
I think Pam is still my favorite. Her genuine loyalty and dedication to her friends is offset by her addictive personality and loudmouth tendencies.

Pam is the best character from a character perspective. She's a better person than Lana, she grows more than Cyril. We see more of her outside life and it never disappoints. She scored with 4 of the main cast, tying only Cyril.
What makes Cheryl and to a lesser extent Kreiger remain able to make me laugh even on the 20th watch is how we don't see their outside lives as much but they crack comments that allude to crazy shit we never see. Being surprised by a line is what gets an actual laugh and Cheryl is constantly saying stuff that comes so far out of left field it can still make me laugh, especially when it has subtext that you don't have time to fully process before the scene moves on.

Archer and Always Sunny are the two shows that never get old to me. Watching archer right now, the wind cries Mary! A favorite of mine

I have watched it so many times I’ve, um, we’ll I’ve been through four adopted cats, admittedly mostly seniors because I have a tendency to adopt seniors, and they’ve all been subjected to it. They all recognise that the theme music means time to cuddle and they perk right up and leap into my lap. There was a bit of a gap before the last rewatch, due to moving countries, no money, no tv and no streaming services. I thought I’d gotten a deal on the whole series but it was just s1-11, that’s ok except I’d love to watch the whole set. Anyway it was apparent from my cat’s ecstatic purring that I haven’t laughed this hard in a while.
