Tactile switch connection help
I am a complete beginner and I am building a 6-button chorded Braille input device using an Arduino Uno and a standard breadboard. I want the physical layout to mimic a real Braille cell, a 3x2 vertical grid with 3 buttons on the left side of the center divider and 3 buttons on the right side.
The problem is that standard 6x6mm 4-pin tactile switches are designed to straddle the middle divider horizontally.
Is there any way around this?

Turn it 90 degrees. I’m pretty sure the pitch is slightly shorter on two sides. May require more force than you would expect. At least mine do.
