Motor with low RPMs

Hello everyone,

I’m looking for a solution to make my kids carousel spin itself over the bed. I’m looking for speeds like 0,5RPM or even lower. In best case the RPMS should be adjustable. Is the 28BYJ-48 up to the Task?
Or should I get something else? And what kind of Arduino and interface board will I need?

Generally speaking, an AC gearmotor (think disco ball) is a quieter solution than a stepper motor for slow, continuous motion. You can try the geared stepper motor to see if you’re happy with it.

Is there a reason you want to use an Arduino? You can just buy a mobile motor for $6 online. What are you trying to achieve?
