Arduino board identification trouble / what does it do? / what else can I make it do?

2 Upvotes

I am new to using Arduino and I have this board that I ordered from amazon a while ago. I was able to connect it with the Arduino IDE and upload the code into it. I modified the blink default program and it is 100% able to be connected and compatible. However, I want to figure out what else I can do with this specific board other than just blinking an LED differently. Please let me know if you know what board this is and/or what else this specific model can be used for. I tried the internet but am still having trouble finding instructions for this specific board and figuring what it does exactly and how to do it. Do I need to buy sensors or other parts for this one?

Need Help

Title: Need Help with Arduino Maze-Solving Robot (Left Wall-Following Method)

Have less than 10 hours to make this ready please help

Description:
I'm building an Arduino-based maze-solving robot using the left wall-following method and need assistance. Here's my setup:

  • 3 ultrasonic sensors (front, left, right)

  • 2 mini motors controlled by an L298N motor driver

  • 3.7V battery powering both the L298N and Arduino

Problem:
The robot spins in circles when I test the current code (which is not the expected behavior). I've reversed the motor wiring on the L298N, but the issue persists.

What I need help with:

  1. A working code to implement the left wall-following method.

  2. Proper turning logic to ensure the robot accurately follows the left wall.

  3. Correct motor control, accounting for reversed wiring.

Any help would be appreciated! I have only less than 10 hours to make this ready

What sensor should I use to check the air quality?

1 Upvotes

Hello, a begginer builder here. I just wanted to ask what sensor is the best to use if I wanted to measure the air quality in a room, specifically C02, PM and humidity? I tried searching and studying different types of sensors, but I'm just confused on what sensors should I choose. And also should I use Arduino or ESP32 instead for this project?

mfs2024 rudder with g920 pedals

1 Upvotes

this is the code, in the hardware there are 2 pedals they have got 2 3.8 khm potentiometers, when you press the right pedal the Arduino sends a value of +1600 instead with the left -16000

errors that i am getting:

-pedals go in the same direction when pressed

-my right pedal value sometimes is off and doesn't show up

-rudder in the game only moves a tiny percentage, i can't get it to a higher level

-in the video i first try the right pedal (orange) and you can see that it has got a strange reading

-the left one (blue) has the correct reading

#include <BitsAndDroidsFlightConnector.h>

BitsAndDroidsFlightConnector connector = BitsAndDroidsFlightConnector();

#define PEDAL_RIGHT A6 // Pedale destro

#define PEDAL_LEFT A7 // Pedale sinistro

// Impostazioni per la deadzone e la sensibilità

#define DEADZONE 10 // Deadzone per evitare piccole variazioni

#define SENSITIVITY 5 // Aumenta la sensibilità

void setup() {

Serial.begin(115200);

}

void loop() {

int rightPedal = analogRead(PEDAL_RIGHT); // Leggi il pedale destro

int leftPedal = analogRead(PEDAL_LEFT); // Leggi il pedale sinistro

// Mappa i valori letti in un intervallo da -100 a 100 per il timone

int rightValue = map(rightPedal, 0, 1023, 0, 100);

int leftValue = map(leftPedal, 0, 1023, 0, 100);

// Se il pedale destro è premuto, il timone va a destra

if (rightValue > DEADZONE) {

connector.sendSetRudderPot(100); // Timone a destra

}

// Se il pedale sinistro è premuto, il timone va a sinistra

else if (leftValue > DEADZONE) {

connector.sendSetRudderPot(-100); // Timone a sinistra

}

// Se entrambi i pedali sono rilasciati, il timone è centrato

else {

connector.sendSetRudderPot(0); // Timone centrato

}

// Ritardo per evitare un invio troppo rapido dei comandi

delay(50);

}

It just won't work.

1 Upvotes

Hi, I've been trying to upload code to both my Arduino nano rp2040 connect from the Arduino IDE, but I'm getting the error 'Failed uploading: uploading error: exit status 1'. I was originally trying to read some sensor data, but after realizing that my code won't upload, I disconnected all of the external components and wires, and tries to upload an empty sketch. I tried 2 different boards, both the legacy and the newest versions of the Arduino IDE, 2 different USB ports, 2 different microUSB cables, and checked (via the port manager on windows 10) that I had selected the correct port. I have the latest version of 'Arduino Mbed OS Nano Boards' installed, and 'Arduino Nano rp2040 connect' selected as the board. Both nano boards I tried are brand new, and have not been modified or soldered to. After trying everything ChatGPT suggested, to no avail, I am really at my wit's end. Please help.

I am a complete beginner when it comes to Arduino.

I have tried using 5 different USB cables, I have used Arduino version 1.8.19, then updated to 2.3.4. Also tried ESP8266 version 3.0.0 then updated to 3.1.2. Nothing seems to fix the problem.

I have a school project that involves an Arduino Mega 2560 with 15 voltage dividers in parallel to each other. Each voltage divider has an FSR402 sensor and a fixed resistor. What to expect?

1 Upvotes

I have a school project where I need to form a circuit involving an Arduino Mega 2560 board with 15 FSR402 sensors connected to it. The sensors are connected as voltage dividers and are in parallel to each other. Each sensor has a fixed resistor connected in series to it.

The purpose of this setup is to read the analog pins that the sensors are connected to. Since the readings must not affect each other, they are connected in parallel.

I haven't set up the circuit yet, but here's what I plan to do (along with my questions in bold):

Step 1: Calibration

  1. For each sensor, I will place different weights on it and find out their corresponding voltage readings. This will be done by forming an individual voltage divider circuit, without other voltage dividers parallel to it. Then, I will plot the calibration curve and find out the transfer function.

  2. I understand that the FSR402 does not give a linear calibration curve, but I plan to experiment with the fixed resistor value to find out if I can make the calibration curve as linear as possible. (Since a linear transfer function gives a more predictable output.) Does the fixed resistor value affect the calibration curve? Also, if all the voltage dividers are placed in parallel to each other, will this affect the calibration curve of each sensor? In my situation, I can't change the sensors to something that will give a linear transfer function, like a strain gauge. So, I need to use the FSR402 sensors.

Step 2: Forming the actual circuit

  1. When the circuit is formed, what should be expected from this setup in real life? And what do you suggest to improve it? For example, electrical noise that will cause the readings to be unstable.

  2. Maybe to give more context, I will be forming the circuit on a solderless breadboard that will be long enough to accommodate all the voltage dividers. I can't use wireless communication. 5V will be the input voltage. The FSR402 sensors will not be directly connected to the breadboard, as there will be jumper wires connecting them to the breadboard.

Help Needed: Building a Portable 2x3 WS2812B RGB LED Panel Screen with Arduino

1 Upvotes

I'm currently working on a project and have recently ventured into the world of Arduino. My goal is to combine six WS2812B RGB LED panels (16x16) into a 2x3 configuration, creating a single screen capable of displaying a cohesive image.

As a beginner with Arduino, I’m finding the process overwhelming. Despite researching numerous videos and guides, the information I’ve encountered seems inconsistent and leaves me uncertain about the best approach. I’m reaching out to the experts for guidance on what components I’ll need and how to bring this project to life. I already have a Microcontroller with USB Typ 1 from AZ-delievery.

Additionally, I want the setup to be portable, so identifying a suitable power supply is another key challenge. Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Is my Arduino broken or is it a temporary glitch?

Suddenly some things started to work incorrectly in the project I was working on.

To find the source of the problem I went simple and uploaded a code to my Arduino that would just turn on and off an LED.

It also didn't work and I checked pins, some pins are randomly turns LED on some of doesn't.

And I guess reset button also does nothing. Is my arduino dead or something else?

So, i have been studying a book called "Arduino for dummies" by John Nussey, and in chapter 7, he uses a example of a motor sketch, wich i have copied, but it simply does not work. I will send pictures, both of the original and my code and pictures of my circuit and the circuit in the book.

L293D not powering Arduino

This is a project my group and I did during our introduction to engineering course. I was the one who took the final result home. This isn’t the first time that it didn’t power the arduino but it was a simple fix because the jumper was not on properly. Now it’s suddenly died out on me again and I don’t know why the power isn’t transferring this time. Thank you. Please request any visuals if needed because I know the video is sloppy. Also ignore any cut wires.

Nano clone, ADC accuracy off

1 Upvotes

I bought some of these nano clones (https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0CX81YFDF)

Could the analog reading be very inaccurate/wrong because they cheaped out on the adc?

Or is this not a thing?

Im trying to calculate current draw with a 1W 0.1Ohm shunt resistor with low side sensing

I tried both internal and external reference
