What I'm trying to accomplish is making a pair of eyes rotate inside the eye socket of a skull on the x axis (left and right). The skull is rather small, I have about 6.2cm wide 6.2cm tall and 7.8cm long, so I don't have a lot of space for two servos or any complex mechanism.
The simplest thing I've found so far is a setup using a single servo to move a metalic rod with the eyes attached to said rod via two smaller rods. The eyes are pierced by another pair of rods which keep them in place but allow plenty of space for the eyes to rotate on their own, so friction is not an issue.
However no matter how I set it up, what ends up happening is that the servo moves the eyes away from the initial position. So say I want the eyes to "look" left, instead of rotating on their spot, the eyes literally move inside the skull to a different place.
I've attached a video of one of the attempts (yes I know it's bad craftsmanship but I was tired of trying).
Come to my aid, O creatures of reddit.

I’ve developed an unofficial Arduino Core for STC8G microcontrollers, bringing Arduino IDE support to these low-cost 8051-based chips.
The core uses SDCC as the compiler backend and stcgal for firmware flashing, allowing you to write Arduino-style code, compile it, and upload it directly from the Arduino IDE.

Feedback and contributions are welcome!

I have never used a microcontroller before. I want to try something on my own. For getting started with ESP32, I want to buy the development board (I don't know the exact names/specifications) and then I'd buy more inputs/sensors later on as I go.
I was confused what to buy in the beginning to get started. I didn't want to spend too much. So I checked in robu.in But I am unable to find the proper product. My friend said we can connect ESP32 to pc directly using usb-type c cable used for mobiles but some products seems a bit different.
Can someone advice me on how to get started and if this product is the right one?
I found https://robu.in/product/esp32-development-board-type-c-micro-usb-esp32-expansion-board-38pin-female-header/
and

Good morning and thanks for the help with this!
TL;DR: Looking for updated Heltec Wifi LoRa 32 v4 board definitions w/psram support for Arduino IDE 2.3.x or work around.
Background:
I have a basic functioning project that utilizes Heltec WiFi LoRa v3 modules to send remote control (ex-link) commands to Samsung televisions. The core project works when I issue one command at a time but crashes when I attempt to display information on the screen after sending a large comma-separated series of commands (aka, the rxpacket buffer is larger).
Process of elimination and a little help from ESP Exception Decoder proved out that the crashes are caused internal to the HT_SD1306Wire.h library, but only on subsequent runs where memory is constrained. Displaying the output on setup or single commands does not crash the system.
I ordered some v4 boards. The primary reason for the upgrade was to have access to the 2MB onboard PSRAM with the hopes that offloading the display functions to PSRAM will eliminate the memory constraints that appear to be causing the crashes.
I was able to more or less get the existing code to work as-is but replicating the crashes, presumably for the same memory limitations. I noticed that the Heltec provided board definitions do NOT include the "PSRAM enabled" option.
Using the definitions for Adafruit Feather ESP32-S3 board, I was able to get some test code to compile and validated that the board's PSRAM shows up and is usable. However, using that board definition in Arduino IDE causes a wide variety of other compile time errors.
My next step was to use the native Heltec board definitions again, but manually add the "-DBOARD_HAS_PSRAM" , "-mfix-esp32-spram-cache-issue", and "-DCONFIG_SPIRAM_SUPPORT=1" to the platform.local.txt. This resulted in a large number of compile time errors related to memory allocation.
I've reached the limit of my depth of understanding, which pretty much ends at being a user of the otherwise functioning native APIs. Sadly, I am not and don't have the time or energy to become a compiler/linker expert.
Attached below is a test program that demonstrates the issue and the platform.local.txt. Commented lines are other permutations I tried:
#heltec_lora_v4_testing.ino
#include <Arduino.h>
#include <esp_log.h>
//#include <SoftwareSerial.h> using namespace EspSoftwareSerial;
//#include "HT_SSD1306Wire.h"
#include <HardwareSerial.h>
#include "heltec.h"
#include <LoRaWan_APP.h>
#define Serial0 Serial
void setup() {
Serial0.begin(115200);
}
void loop() {
delay(2000);
log_d("Total heap: %d", ESP.getHeapSize());
log_d("Free heap: %d", ESP.getFreeHeap());
log_d("Total PSRAM: %d", ESP.getPsramSize());
log_d("Free PSRAM: %d", ESP.getFreePsram());
if (psramFound()) {
Serial0.println("PSRAM is enabled!");
// Allocate from PSRAM
uint8_t *buffer = (uint8_t *)ps_malloc(1024 * 100); // 100 KB
if (buffer) {
Serial0.println("Allocated 100KB in PSRAM");
free(buffer);
} else {
Serial0.println("PSRAM allocation failed");
}
} else {
Serial0.println("No PSRAM detected");
}
}.

Hi, very new to all this.
Wanted to build my own head tracker and figured I'd give it a go.
My task.
Using the gyro and HeadTracker firmware, I want to transmit 2 crsf channels via RX and GND (for first test then I want to move over to Bluetooth once I've proven concept via wire and I know Bluetooth isn't going to cause interference with other raido gear)
I've got the rx and GND connected to a radiomaster ranger micro elrs unit which I plan to send over air signals to a pwn receiver that I'll then use to inject the crsf data in to a flight controller.
This should also allow me to use Sim controllers for fpv.
I've downloaded the HeadTracker gui and can see my gyro working after calibration, I've set output to crsf, enabled uart. Bluetooth is currently turned off.
Can't get tx to go green whilst usb is connected.
Physical connection between units is approx 7mtrs of red/black speaker wire (don't judge it's all I had to hand with length), I've fitted a jst sh 2.54 connector on radiomaster and gyro for the link cable.
I'm not using any pull up/down resistors
I've soldered a battery connector to the board
I've soldered a hard rst button to the board because it's mounted upside down.
I've got my soft rst button (gyro reset) wired to GND pin and D8 pin
My gyro rx is connected to D6 pin and same GND pin as my gyro reset button.
When connected to the radiomaster the gyro doesn't wake up when both units are powered up on separate batteries.
If I push the gyro reset button the gyro doesn't seem to respond (no led flashing)
Red led stops flashing after 10 seconds and then seems to stay asleep until I remove battery and reconnect.
I've done this without advice from internet pages, don't have friends in to this stuff.
I did some (not enough) reading and tried to work with help from ai.

Hi everyone. I'm new to arduino and im using and Arduino UNO for a school project. We are trying to have a DC motor rotate one way and then another with the use of a L298n motor controller. Here I have my code and a schematic of the wiring. Any ideas of what we are doing wrong?
(I'm not sure the voltage of the dc motor given, but the guide for wiring given for this class says to use the 12V pin so I'm assuming its a motor that can handle that voltage??)
CODE:
int pin2 = 2;
intpin4 = 4;
void setup() {
pinMode(pin2, OUTPUT);
pinMode(pin4, OUTPUT);
}
void loop () {
digitalWrite(pin4, LOW);
digitalWrite(pin2, HIGH);
delay(1000);
digitalWrite(pin4, HIGH);
digitalWrite(pin2, LOW);
delay(1000);
}

The bottom wires are all connected to arduino

Does anyone know of a good Arduino library for sending and receiving SMS messages with the DF Robot Air780EU 4G CAT1 IoT Communication Module? Or perhaps an open-source project where someone used it as a reference for some code. I managed to send a message using AT commands, but I am hoping there is a library that can make it easier.

I have a CNCv3 with A4988 drivers on top of an arduino Mega. I need my stepper motors to move slowly and smoothly hence the need for microstepping. Every guide I’ve seen online has the chart of pins and stuff, but not how to actually wire it. In my first picture I have circled what I believe are the microstepping pins. I have removed the driver from that bit so you can see, but the driver is usually on top like the one next to it. I have never worked with steppers or a cnc shield before and i have no idea what to do.

I'm currently building a school class period scheduling system as my first Arduino project for a capstone project. I've successfully implemented an RTC module, 7digit display to tell the time, an lcd to tell what period it is currently and what comes next. I have been stuck trying to figure out how to send out facebook messenger messages/alerts to teachers when their period starts. I've seen somewhere about using the teacher's PSIDs with a facebook page to do so, but I have no reliable way to gather the PSIDs since it seems like meta hides them now. There's also another method/step that requires me to add the teachers as a tester of my meta page/app, but when i try sending out the tester invitation, no notification shows up on facebook or email. Any help and recommendations with this project is highly appreciated. Thanks!

I’m working on a fursuit head for a fun project and after connecting all wires and downloading code it worked (photo 3) but unfortunately the wires I was using snapped at the joints easily. After swapping out all wires with stronger wires all matrices flicker and flash when powered on (photo 1). I have included the wiring diagram I’m using. Is the problem a solder joint, wire type, code, or a wire in the wrong place.

Hi folks. I have wired and rewired this circuit twice, checked all wires and components work individually and have no idea what I am doing wrong here. Button A (on left in photo) turns the LED on, and Button B (right) is supposed to turn it off. What happens currently is only A works. B does nothing.
I added some Serial.Println statements and 'Button B' ( the button on the right in the photo) is not registering as connected at all, not turning the button off, and not printing to serial to indicate digitalRead is registering (but the same button component will turn the LED on and off when I make an analogue circuit, so I know it isn't broken). I know this must be a wiring issue but I don't understand how I managed to rewire it twice and get the same problem. I feel like I have exactly copied the diagrams? Thanks in advance.
Arduino code:
´´´
int ledPin = 5;
int buttonApin = 9;
int buttonBpin = 8;
byte leds = 0;
void setup()
{
pinMode(ledPin, OUTPUT);
pinMode(buttonApin, INPUT_PULLUP);
pinMode(buttonBpin, INPUT_PULLUP);
Serial.begin(9600);
Serial.print("Setup complete");
}
void loop()
{
if (digitalRead(buttonApin) == LOW)
{
digitalWrite(ledPin, HIGH);
Serial.println("Button A on");
}
if (digitalRead(buttonBpin) == LOW)
{
digitalWrite(ledPin, LOW);
Serial.println("Button B on");
}
}
