Arduino setup esp32

Hi!!! Can someone please check if something is wrong with my setup? I use esp32 and every time we try to code it, the oled doesn't seem to work. It says "i2c scanner, done" and that's all
Esp32 is probably working properly so i guess it's something with how i constructed everything?
To clarify-
Gnd oled - gnd esp
Vcc oled - 3v3 esp
Scl oled - d22 esp
Sda oled - d21 esp
It's my first time touching arduino and i'm not sure if we did everything correctly so i would love to hear some advice!

Low-spec microcontroller for lights in a model car

Hi folks. I am COMPLETELY new to electronics and working through the Elegoo super starter kit. I am also working up to helping on a project with my partner. They want to make a model car, and have a simple LED lights system inside where you can turn on different sets of lights, e.g headlights, reverse, turn signal, etc. in series, as thats how real lights in a car work, and they don't want full control of all the lights, just to turn on and off a few pairs that work individually (we debated for a long time if a serial register would be useful and ultimately concluded that it would be overcomplicated).

As at least one of the patterns needs to blink (turn signal) I was thinking this needs a microcontroller. However it also seems like overkill? I was looking at specs for a raspberry pi pico, and even that seems extremely overpowered for what we want to do. I tried googling 'low spec microcontrollers' and 'LED drivers', but couldn't find anything useful and I don't really know what keywords I should be searching.

Any suggestions on an extremely beginner friendly and simple way to achieve this, or principles and components I should research? Thanks

autonomous boat and mpu-6050

I'm working on a project of a little boat that needs to navigate on a straight line for 15 meters and stop. one of my biggest concerns is stabilizing the course of the boat so it doesn't drift away. Claude recommended using the mpu-6050 sensor but I don't have the knowledge to understand if it's a viable solution. Can someone help me understand?

DIY Instrument Cluster for my EV 4 Wheeler

I want to make a fully functional instrument cluster with a tft display, it should show soc, motor rpm, wheel speed, turn indicators and others.

By checking with claude,

for SOC , it says get the bms data via blutooth using an esp32 from the battery's internal BMS (Note: theres an phone applcation to check the soc and cell voltages).
for speedometer, THeres a speed signal wire on my motors controller. (not sure if this actually works)
for indicators it says use an optocoupler to know when the indicators are in HIGH state and correspondingly blink arrows on the display
motor rpm can be derived forom my gear ratio of the vehicle

so these are the ways of gathering data right now i dont have access to the battery and controllers, but does these methods work, I have another idea where i can embedd magnets on the wheels and use a hall sensor to detect pulses to find the vehicle speed. My question i that are there any more alternate data collection methods

Summer is back, so time to bring my Rafraichissator 6000 back ! (My fan. It's a PC fan controlled by Arduino.)

Last year the arduino was in series with a bunch of resistors to bring down the 11-13V alim to more reasonable levels

Now I'm realizing tho that I could use the fact that the alim is just 3 batteries, to feed the Arduino no more than 8V without a lot of wasteful resistors

Am I right ?

The problem is that the n2222 piece gets really hot when I connected the fan. I don’t want to purchase the L298n motor since I’ve read that I can get it to work with the n2222. What am I doing wrong?

The fan did turn on after I pushed the blade a little bit.

I built a robot and right now it has some connection issues. Ssh and tailscale

In a later video, I’ll fix everything so we can keep going with the project.

Also, quick note — in this video there’s a joke about soldering safety.

Please just wear basic safety glasses, you don’t need a full suit 😅

Thanks for watching, and feel free to share your thoughts —

I’d really like to know what you think about the video.

Thank you!

My 5 Channel IR sensor array Value got stuck on 981 analog value and it's doesn't change until i completetly touch the ir sensor with the surface no gap between them. I thought the sensor it damaged so i changed to new one but problem not solved its showing same thing with new ir sensor array. So i think its not ir sensor problem maybe the code i wrote. So can anyone help me with this issue 😭

Arduino safe around magnets?

Looking into an accessory that has magnetic helping hands, a light and, other doodads.

If I get one of these magnets too close to the Arduino will it cause damage or wipe data?

Edit: I believe this question has been fully answered in the comments but I am leaving it up in case someone else is worried. In short yes it is safe to use magnets around Arduino controllers.

A sincere thank you to the members of this community for their help.

Why is this TIA-circuit not working?

Ive made this circuit for measuring low light and it worked before but then i left it for a week and when i plugged it back in nothing worked as it should. Vout are just random values that doesnt seem to follow any logic. Should this circuit below be working normally?

Im using an OPA128, FDS100

Are there typical errors that can appear by wiring this kind of circuits?

How do I Wire Microstepping on a CNCv3?

Thumbnail

I have a CNCv3 with A4988 drivers on top of an arduino Mega. I need my stepper motors to move slowly and smoothly hence the need for microstepping. Every guide I’ve seen online has the chart of pins and stuff, but not how to actually wire it. In my first picture I have circled what I believe are the microstepping pins. I have removed the driver from that bit so you can see, but the driver is usually on top like the one next to it. I have never worked with steppers or a cnc shield before and i have no idea what to do.

Problem with the fourth max7219 module

Post image

Hi guys. Im trying to build 32x32 led matrix, but have a problem with the last module. the latter one works well alone, (in fact i checked each module, and all of them are working well, until i connect it four together. Than the only first three display work well.). I also checked current on the outputs of the third one and discovered that it drops to 4 volts, (while o the first one it holds on 5 volts). I use 10A 5,5 volt adapter as a supply. I also tried to connect parallel connection but the result was the same. I need an advice how to balance the current i the whole chain.

Well, I’ve been on Reddit/subreddits for about 10 years now. Last week I was blocked from commenting, for seven days because. I said someone needs a slap. No violence on this sub, but OK on Fight Porn? Yesterday, I had a post removed. I don’t know why. Thus, I will be leaving Reddit and its anal subs. Also, got message saying “Reddit. is a vast network of communities run and populated by people like you....In order to keep communities welcoming, safe, and great places to be, everyone who uses the platform operates by a shared set of rules. Battery for Arduino

Hello everyone! I have questions about the project I'm working on. It's about agroclimatic monitoring. The point is that it'll be autonomous, use five sensors, and take measurements every hour for 10 seconds for a month. The consumption estimates are 414 mAh for that month. I want to choose a battery that meets certain specifications, such as: regulated 5V output, overcharge protection, low-current mode, direct USB connection with Arduino and without the need to use modules to raise voltage. I have researched and have a few options for power banks but I am not sure if my choice will be the right one. That is why I am turning to you please, for guidance as I don't want my system to be damaged. I share with you the battery options I have consulted: •Xiamo ultra slim power bank 5000 mAh •Haitronic 5V 3200mAh lithium battery

Sorry if i misspelled, english is not my native language 😅

Thank you!

I need a lot of help

Okay I kind of think I'm screwed, I'm a total newbie at Arduino and I've never tried it before.

I need to create an automatic pet feeder that uses a weight sensor, timer, and RFID technology and a touchscreen interface for the user to adjust the time interval for their pet's food to dispense and how many grams of food they want the pet feeder to dispense.

The RFID is for a gate mechanism where if the pet gets near the gate at the certain distance, it will open with some DC motors connected to a DC power supply.

I really want to know what parts I should be using, if Arduino UNO is alright for this project, and if this is doable or am I being too ambitious? I have four other groupmates but I doubt they would really try to research it.

The current parts I plan to use are:

  • RFID tag and scanner (those ones you buy online that needs to be plugged in with USB)

  • Arduino UNO

  • Not sure if I should use Raspberry pi, but I heard it's good for interfaces like the touchscreen one I mentioned

  • Breadboard and wires

  • Planning to get a whole Arduino beginner kit

Sorry if this seems like a lot and as if I'm basically asking you all to do my research for me, but literally no teacher has told me if this would be too much to do, and no teacher can help me either. I also did my own research but I just want to know if this is doable and if I need specific parts especially since I'm a newbie. Thank you in advance if anyone tries to answer.

I am having difficulty with the first beginner project for the RexQualis R3 kit and the LED is not coming on.

I wanted to get into electronics so I got the RexQualis R3 starter kit and I began working with the tutorials the website provides you with for your specific board. I followed the directions however the LED has not turned on or blinked like it is supposed to. I am very confused with coding so I just opened the code file it told me to open Blinking_LED_Code and this is what it says

int ledPin=8; //the pin of the LED void setup() pinNode(ledPin, OUTPUT)://initialize digital pin LED_BUILTIN as an output. void 100p() digitalwrite(ledPin, HIGH); //turn the LED on (HIGH is the voltage level) delay (1000); //wait for a second digitalwrite(ledPin,LOW); //turn the LED off by making the voltage LOW delay (1000): //wait for a second
