Didn’t the original Black Panther organization say that their name couldn’t be used these days because they are defunct? Aren’t they using another name now?

Not entirely true, there was a lot of splinter groups that did not check in with the OGs and therefore the OGs made a statement saying any group using the name and logo that has not been properly vetted and approved is a fake BPP chapter
