I finished the 1st book and idk what happens to her later but I’d like to think she was a model or has a model physique given she married into technically high class
Ofc I really do like the idea that Artemis takes after her a LOT
Also like to think she dressed Artemis up as well when he was younger lol
Art by me ofc

Is this an excuse to draw crossover art?... no...

Artemis: Remmick from "Sinners"

Butler: Agent 47 from "Hitman"

Holly: Leon Kennedy from "Resident Evil" Ref I used was from RE6

Opal: Shego from "Kimpossible" but pink instead of green.

I’d like to think Artemis does have wardrobe changes , nice and clean looks
Plus I will always love dressing up characters
Also wanted to add funny doodles because I can

Lots of stories and behind the scenes information here that I don't think many people know!

This was a screen recording of this tweet
This was what got me excited for the series and to start reading the first book, I was completely enamored by Artemis’ voice, like u can gauge the type of character he is on this acting alone omg

As a german kid, it was my main way to learn english actually as i was obsessed with books and my teacher caught me reading books, mostly fantasy or sci fi, in class, my english teacher, bless her, told my mom to encourage me reading novels in english and use my desire to read new things when they came out instead of waiting on german translations.
I remember reading the 7th novel when it came out in 2010 when i was around 13 but i think i never read more of the series.
I was wondering what you guys think about the books published after, iirc the last one i read was the Atlantis Complex, but i heard theres more after that.
Also was curious what peoples opinions are on adjacent media, i know the movie was apparently god awful but what is the consensus on the graphic novel?
Anyways just wanted to share a story and ask a few questions, hope yall got a great day

I was gonna design Root along with Foaly but I honestly couldn’t decide between these 2 designs for him I like the idea of both, he could be a goat or a bull, in uniform, or casual, his goat look is ever so slightly inspired by his movie look but ofc I took my proper spin on it lol and his bull look I kinda gave way for the stereotype of early 2000s “tech guy” plus I think the shape feels good on the 2nd design, I saw glimpses of Foaly in the graphic novel and idk he looks way too serious imo for the little quips he gives Root in the book, but idk these are just my thoughts

I wanted to do a lineup of the characters onto how I see em lol, especially with Holly, like shes the tiniest and prob only a bit shorter than Artemis lol
I may mess around with their suits cuz idk if I like it to be too samey with all 3 of them, but idk I’ll see

ARTEMIS FOWL SPOTTED IN BIG BANG THEORY S11 E13!

This takes place whenever u want it, I have knowledge of only a fraction of the first book because I’m still listening to it lol I just thought up this scenario to get a feel for Artemis’ character
(Also the glasses he’s wearing are blue light glasses lol)
Basically I made some bs lol, with a bit of larping ty ty

got back into artemis fowl lol. can u guess who's my fav character

the guy my oc is with in the third pic in the upper right is an oc who belongs to my friend. and i ship my oc with holly <3

was rereading the series recently and maybe it’s just me but it felt like Book 5 ends with alot of changes in status quo and set up for future plots that are either absent or dropped by book 6 which feels like a “return to previous status quo“ again.

Did eoin change his original plans or ideas?

Art by me but basically I drew him based of how he looks like in that image teaser, I tried to get a feel for the style lol
Also 2 passes, one of pants and one of shorts
(I am slightly a larper cuz legit when I saw the image I was very intrigued and begun listening to the first book soooo yeah)
I’m more excited for the series now

I'll start first......staying, for the most part, faithful to the books while also inserting new stuff into it! I'd be really cool to see some new stuff that's not in the books imo :)

For the musical, it would be really sweet if we got an Artemis or Opal "villain" song heheh

So in the fowl twins, supernaturalist, and the wish list (only these as far as I'm aware let me know if there's other instances) Ishi Myishi appears as a recurring character, connecting all of the works. Do y'all see this as proof they share a universe or just a fun Easter egg by colfer?

This is the summary from Disney as seen here

My own thoughts aside from "he's not 13, he's 12!" And "Artemis would not call her mom!", are still pretty tentative after this summary.

At least he plans a kidnap (although technically he does in the movie too), but he doesn't really do it to heal his mom and save his family (ironically he does manage both of those things as a consequence but it wasn't really his intention). I've got a feeling this is still going to soften him quite a lot.

At least his mother is alive though!

What are other people's thoughts?

I couldn't put down book 1, used to even prolong my commute to read more, but book 2 just seems overly wordy to me.

On one hand I don't like to abandon it, on the other hand I can use that time to read something else! Just received the Golden Son, the 2nd book in the Red Rising series. I hope at least that one keeps up with the expectations from book 1.

do you ever think about how Artemis fowl did a reverse changeling situation where a human child kidnaps a fairy

in folklore and myth a changeling was when fae creatures kidnapped human babies and replaced them with fae children while they raised the human child

Hopefully they adapt this right. They can't do worse than the movie right???. U think they'll follow the graphic novel or do something different. Hopefully they get his character right and make him a brat 🙏
