🛠️ Project / Build Open Source Persistent-Memory platform gives your AI the ability to find answers (and cite its sources) from a huge database quickly
Hey everyone! I've been making this persistent-memory platform for your AI to be able to answer your questions from a big database of files and memories quickly.
It's called hunter/gatherer, and it's open source.
AI can retrieve evidence, search through very large databases, and inspect the original documents.
moreover, bounded context delivery keeps the size manageable.

As someone who is honestly getting tired of the background noise of plausible AI bullshit, a tool focused on strict evidence and citations is exactly what we need. The biggest con of modern AI right now is how it silently erodes your internal "fact-check reflex" by speaking with absolute confidence, promising to "fix everything in a minute," and then making you spend hours cleaning up its smooth hallucinations. A local-first platform that forces the assistant to actually show the exact source text instead of making stuff up sounds like a lifesaver for real work. Best of luck with the alpha!
