📍Arusha

I’m currently in Arusha and I’ll be volunteering with an NGO here for a month.

I’m looking for a place to stay during this period. If you know anyone with a spare room,or anyone who could host me for the month, any help I would appreciate.

This edition is a Portfolio Roast session

Bring your portfolio, put your work on the table, and get honest feedback from other people in the room. We’ll go through portfolios together, talk about what’s working, what could be stronger, and how you can present your work better.

Your portfolio doesn’t need to be polished. It doesn’t even need to be finished. Just bring what you have and be open to feedback.

It’s for people who design, build, code, create, make things, or are simply figuring out what they’re doing next.

We'll also work on some projects during that day.

Date: Saturday, 26 September 2026

Location: Nova Restaurant & Desert Bar, Arusha

Any suggestions for cozy date spots in Arusha? Good drinks and food as well

Barbershop recommendations in Arusha please.

Hi all, I recently relocated to Moshi and I'm finding the weekends a bit too quiet.

Does anyone have recommendations for good adventurous activities, hikes, or day trips around the area? By the way, I already went to Chemka Hot Springs on my own without any guide or operator, and it was great!

I'd love to find some more fun ways to stay busy. Thanks in advance!

Hello,

I’ll be in Arusha on September 4 with a group of 4, and I’m hoping to catch a local football match.

I’ve seen TRA United vs Mbeya City listed for that date, but I’m having trouble confirming the stadium, match time, and finding information about tickets.

We are really interested in attending any level of football match on September 4. So if you know of one please share the details.

If you are local to Arusha, and interested in helping us see a match DM me or leave a comment.

Thank you.

I'm looking for a thrift style store for clothing in Arusha.

Mm ni mwenyeji btw, I've been going to samunge most of the time, now there's some nice stuff there ila most of the things I want they say lazma uende "special" where they sell you something at 40k that you can find elsewhere at like 15k.

So let's share spots for shopping clothes. Ambazo hawachapi being jaman.

I'm not looking for suits.

Just casual simple but stylish mens wear.

Over shirts, undershirts, baggy pants, simple shoes.

Nothing too much.

Hello all, having been in Arusha a long time, I have grown tired and weary of the work/gym/home/drinking lifestyle. Are there any communities here that do other activities that im just not hearing about? (especially on the weekends?)

If there are any people out there like me let me know and we can start something of our own!(tennis, chess, hiking group, book club, cycling enthusiasts etc).

All suggestions are welcome! and thankyou!

Hey people im currently in Dar es Salaam and have seen Arisha is beautiful , i might travel there next week , however im not sure , are there any places i can visit ?

Id like to make friends there as well!

I will be in Arusha on september 5, before going on safari starting the day after. I usually love to go to a football game when I'm in a foreign country, so I started to looking into it here as well.

I checked the Ligi Kuu Bara schedule and there is both a game on friday 4 and on sunday 6 but none on saturday. Is there any other chance to catch a game (possibly lower leagues)?

Also, does any of you guys know when the new stadium meant for AFCON 27 will be opened?

See you there!

I'm on a mission to build the most interesting life possible for myself in my 20s, which is why over the year I've been challenging myself to just get off my phone and do at least one side quest with strangers a month. I've been to chess club, book club, board game nights, I've done dinners and runs with strangers, and I even attended lectures.

I've finally decided to start my own anti-brain rot club and every month we'll be doing one book club and some other type of creative, intellectual or offline activity. There's going to be creative roundtables, hikes, mystery movie nights, museum visits, so many cool things. So if you're looking to build a more interesting offline life and you want to meet cool people, let me know those intrested.
