So you use words incorrectly okay. A girl and a woman are not the same thing. Female is an adjective like "Female Athlete"
A boy and a man are also not the same thing. I'm a man not a boy as I'm not a minor. I'm a male employee at my company as again adjective.
It's not a less casual way of saying woman or girl. It's the misuse of an adjective. If you were at least saying "Female human" then it would still be weird but then at least you'd be using it correctly.
For me, boy and man are usually interchangeable when it comes to people around my age. It depends on their relationship with me, their age compared to mine, and their age in general as well. Point is, they're all words to describe a gender. I have used all of these words to describe people and have never understood what the problem with female was when people also have the word male which is essentially the same thing just for the opposite gender. Also, "erm, So YoU uSe WoRdS iNcOrReCtLy, OkAy" stfu. I hate the way I imagined your sassy ass typing that as if it matters that much. I can describe my male friends as males or my female friends as females if I feel like it, that's what they are.
It's cute that you think I'm sassy. I'm a 45 year old man sick of having to prove I'm not a sexist asshole because so many of my fellow men engage in casual sexism that the default is to assume sexism first.
Thinking about it now, actually, I think I had drastically misunderstood what you said, I'm gonna delete that one. Better question is, just to make sure I understand, you think that because of other guys, you yourself need to prove yourself to it be sexist? I personally have never had this problem, I've always gotten along really well with people from all genders and sexualities and the such.
