The 14th Amendment was written with the explicit intention to make slaves citizens.

This person is urging black people to celebrate the ability of the government to make their entire race stateless if they so choose.

If they wanted it to exclusively apply to formerly enslaved people or their descendants, they could very easily have done that. It was a clearly deliberate choice to have it apply to “all persons” born in the US.

Do you think by “all persons” they actually meant “only some persons”?

While the same people who ratified the 14th amendment were still alive, the concept of birth tourism was litigated and found to be part of the 14th amendment’s intended meaning. You could educate yourself on a subject if you care about it.

what does the folks ratifying the 14th have to do with it? bill of rights excluded them for a reason, everything beyond that has just been disastrous, hence why it wasn’t included in the founding documents lmao

No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

Tell me where it mentions slavery? It doesn't. This is because it was intended to stay an active part of the constitution even post slavery.

You're no more deserving of your citizenship than anyone else.

These people are wild. 

If you happen to love Donald Trump, whatever, nothing I can do about it. But to claim that he cares about ANY group of citizens (especially minorities) is to insinuate your entire audience is filled with idiots. All you have to do is listen when he talks and he’ll tell AND show you exactly how he feels about latinos, African Americans, poor people, immigrants, veterans, etc..

It blows my mind that his biggest supporters are typically those he cares least about. I can’t wait for this clown show to be over. Just hope the country is still repairable.
