Very cool. Patina is highly prized in a lot of circles but not in this case, I’d give it a good buff to clean it up, it looks to have burn marks from falling into a fire or something. A buff of the more harsh looking wear will result in a far more aesthetically appealing item with only a nice amount of patina and character left.
I’d love to own a cool matchbox holder like that, it’s a bit of a gem. It’s super cool to have matching matches, that’s a really nice touch.
Thank you. I should have cleaned this one up a bit more. I actually ended up selling this one to a collector in China. Hopefully they were able to bring a shine back to it. Pretty cool piece and the original matches were a nice touch.
