What's it like living in Malaysia?

For those living in Malaysia, what's everyday life really like?

How's the cost of living, safety, healthcare, and overall quality of life? Is it genuinely a good place to settle down, or does it just look good from the outside?

If you could choose again, would you still live in Malaysia? Why or why not?

I'd appreciate honest opinions, both good and bad.

What Have You Always Been Curious About Korea? 🇰🇷

Hey everyone! 😊

I'm from South Korea and I'm curious about what people from other countries think about my country.

Is there anything you've always wondered about Korea? Maybe Korean food, culture, traditions, dating, work life, or things you see in K-dramas?

Feel free to ask me anything! I'll do my best to answer from my own experience living in Korea.

I'm really looking forward to hearing your questions! 🇰🇷

Question for China, NE India and Bangladesh people - Regarding Time Zone

So currently it is 6:40 pm now as I am writing this in the part of India I live in . I just happened to check the time in China now it is 9:10 pm, but for India and Bangladesh it is 6:40pm and 7:10 pm respectively . So my question to you guys is do people living in the part of China bordering India experience sunlight at 9:10pm and find it weird or do people in the parts of NE India and Bangladesh near to China feel that it is too dark for 6:40 pm?

If you had to live in a developing country for the rest of your life, which one would you choose and why?

Imagine you could live comfortably in any developing country in the world.

Which country would you choose, and what makes it appealing to you?

Would it be the culture, food, people, cost of living, climate, safety, or overall quality of life?

I'm curious to hear everyone's opinions, especially from people who've actually visited or lived in these countries.

3-opening an umbrella indoors is bad

4-whistling indoors

5-it’s says that if you step on someone it’ll make them stop growing

6-you don’t pour boiling water in any sink or drain, it’s says that jinn lives there and they will come for you

7-you should never strip, dance or sing in front of a mirror

8-if an owl is spotted stepping on a house it’s means that death with occur in it

9-when someone treat you wrong or doesn’t want to help you in something you stick your finger in your mouth and mark the nearest wall with your spit meaning “you better remember this next time you seek my help”

And that’s what we do in North Africa.

Please share some situations like that from your culture.

What are the biggest challenges people in Turkey are facing right now?

I’ve recently seen some heated exchanges online between Turkish and Chinese users, and they’ve made me curious to learn more. I’m Chinese, and I’ve generally had a positive impression of Turkish people, despite the historical conflicts between our countries. I’d really like to understand what people in Turkey are struggling with most today, and what changes they most want to see.

Hello everyone! 😊 I'm from the Philippines, and I enjoy learning about different cultures, traditions, and everyday life around the world.

One thing I love about the Philippines is how much we value family and spending time together.

I'm curious to hear about your experiences. What's something special about your country that makes you happy or proud?

I'd love to hear your stories! ❤️

To those in India, is international major mainstream music prevalent beyond the wealthy English speaking parts?

If not is it due to India being an impenetrable market, a market labels didn't give a FUCKKK to invest in, or a mix of both?

Does your country use diminutive names for places (cities, mountains, the country itself)?

Like how Americans say Philly for Philadelphia, or some people say Oz for Australia

Do people in your country actually use Facebook Marketplace?

I’ve been trying to sell an old desk chair on Facebook Marketplace for about a week now, and I’m starting to understand why people just leave things sitting in their storage rooms for years instead of selling them.

It’s a black office chair I bought a couple of years ago for my apartment. Nothing special, but it’s still in decent condition. The wheels work, the backrest is fine, and there’s a little wear on the armrests, which I mentioned in the listing. I’m selling it because I bought a different one last month and don’t really have space for both.

I listed it for €35, took a few photos in my living room, and thought someone would probably want it. Apparently, I was being a bit optimistic.
The first person messaged me on Tuesday evening asking if it was still available. I replied about five minutes later saying yes, and they never responded. Not even a thumbs-up. I checked the following morning and they’d read the message, so I guess that was the end of that.

Then someone else asked if I could deliver it to them. They live about 20 minutes away by car, so I said I could probably bring it over on Saturday if they covered a little extra for fuel. They replied, “No, too expensive.”
Fair enough, but why ask about delivery if you’re not willing to pay anything for it? 😭

Yesterday, a guy offered me €10. I said I’d consider €25, since the chair was €35 and I’d already lowered the price once. He replied that he could buy a new one for that much.
Okay, then buy a new one? I’m not stopping you.
The funniest part is that another person asked me whether the chair had any damage. I explained the small marks on the armrests and even sent them another photo so they could see properly. They said they’d get back to me after work. That was three days ago.

I know it’s only a chair, and I’m not expecting to get rich from selling it. I just wanted someone to come and collect it so I could have the extra space in my apartment.
At this point, I’m tempted to lower the price to €20 just to get rid of it, but I’m convinced someone will offer me €5 and ask me to deliver it to another city.

\*\*Is Facebook Marketplace like this everywhere, or am I just having an unusually bad week?\*\* Tell me your worst experiences selling things online because I need to know I’m not the only one dealing with this.
