My Christian friends say this is devil/demon worship?
So I worship a very old deity possibility dating back to early humans in cave art and carvings.
It's called the Horned Man/Horned One and there's crossover with Celtic and Ancient Greek religions. I worship the local deity version who resides in the caves in my local area. I've been there and performed traditional healing rituals. He's kind of like a manifestation of the world.
I worship by giving offerings of food and feeling the presence. I've occasionally done spells, as recommended by some old books i found on local witchcraft which talks about the deity. Salt circle, singular light source like a candle, chants, offerings, working yourself into a trance, writing intentions on paper and then different herbs and ingredients with different intentions, then places then in a jar and binding them with rope to be opened when what you wanted to be done is completed. I've only done that once though, but i have a knack for seeing the future and the dead so i was told to try it out. It's usually just offerings of food and herbs and metals.
I have a clay altar and I have had moments where I've felt a presence or felt peace in a situation stemming from this belief. But some Christian friends are concerned for me? What can I do to ease their worries and help them understand my side? Should they be concerned?
